Pick 53: Jack Graham

where is this offer from Carlton? where are the figures being quoted from?
anyone actually seen it?

If Cotch is seriously thinking of giving it away, offer Graham a vice captaincy.

A group of us were speaking to Trent's dad in the pub after the 2019 JLT game in Shepp and back then he was saying he thought 3 years' would see Trent done and dusted, so that would be 2021 but I wouldn't be surprised if he bought that forward after the year that was, (i hope not though).

This time of year the clubs and managers would be very active, but with the finals happening you're not going to get any confirmation of any moves involving the teams in the finals

650k isn't overs for graham.

More valuable than alot of stat chasers around the league who'd be on more than 650k
I think it's overs Harry but that's not to denigrate him; he's a very good player but still has a bit to go to earn a massive contract. Your second point is very true in that there are a lot of ordinary footballers getting paid way more than they are worth. Zac Williams $900K FMD.

I guess this is what happens when you are a successful club; you can become a victim of that success. Hopefully we can close the gap a bit to entice him to stay. He's going to realise his potential as a footballer much better at RFC than he will at that other cheating scumbag club.

It does concern me when Jason King is hearing that he's gone. Hopefully we can turn it around. If not then we must stand up and demand maximum trade value commensurate with the contract they are offering him. If he asks for a trade then Blair calls his Carlton counterpart and says don't even talk to us unless you're offer includes a top 10 pick.

He might be a good leader but Fridge is slow. The complete opposite of how we roll forward with the ball.

With Collier-Dawkins coming up slowly, I’d look at a first round pick and wish him all the best if the offer is 650K.

If he wants to stay on less, all well and good.

This slow myth continues

Graham is currently integral to the way we roll forward with the ball.

Didn't Jack record a top speed of over 34kmh The other week, that's not what I'd call slow. Admittedly Oleg gets up around 37kmh, but he's about the fastest bloke in the AFL

Are we basing this on a couple of chase down tackles?

He doesn’t have burst speed, he builds into his speed like a Mack truck.

That's the minimum price. Otherwise *smile* off Carlton; don't even bother calling.

Jack can stay with us or go to the Crows.
It's funny. They rate Graham and offer heaps of dough but then have to downplay him so they can offer only a second round pick (or something worse)

I’d be supportive of holding our offer at 400+ that’s his worth and we need to keep our tpp for stars out of contract next year , what u reckon they’ll be offered elsewhere. I’m also confident that Rossy can step into his role with an extra yard of pace

In a weird kind of way, we hold the whip hand here.

If Carlton won't pay an acceptable price, Graham is likely to be OK heading home to Adelaide in the pre season draft.

Carlton can be seriously wedged here. And we owe them no favours at all.

Massive opportunity to make a top 8 contender pay up big time.

I’d say he’d just sign with us rather than go to Adelaide. Adelaide do not over pay.

We’re obviously squeezed real tight on the cap and Balmey is in that arkward position of keeping the curtains open while adding talented youth . Point been I really don’t want to lose JG or any of BBB an associates , as others have said JG is possibly a future Captain , so would we better of trading out one of the more senior players to free up cap space ?

In Balmey we trust
