Pick 53: Jack Graham

Guys, chill out, it's the Managers duty to look around, create a few whispers, get a few journos on side etc etc.

The last guy that left the Tigers for a chance at a flag AND big bucks was Ottens.
A long time ago. Yes I know lids left for a shot at a flag but the poor guy got run over by the karma bus in a big way.

Correct.

Lets be honest all clubs and managers are inquiring about nearly every other clubs list and free agents, there wont be too many names not brought up in conversations.

I bet Rance has even been inquired about by other clubs and he hasn't played for 2 seasons.

Had Lids not left we most likely wouldnt have got Caddy, Prestia and Nank or Jack Graham in that one trade draft period.

No doubt a gut wrenching result for him ......... he rolled the dice but there was no indication of what would evenyuate out of post season 2016 and pre season 2017.

Karma is a *smile*.

I'd be surprised to see him leave. He's young and at a contending club. He's still got time to get a big money move contract after this one.

Very dangerous to go to Carlton they will expect the world from him there whereas at the RFC he has a role to play.

If Graham does go (which I still doubt he will) that opens the door for more regular footy for Ross, Dow and Riley.

I don't think he is going to go to..........but if he does we need to make them pay through the arse for him.

This I totally agree with.

Why leave playing with Cotch (who he is very close with) Dusty and Jack and Tommy and Sheds, Grimes and Vlas to go and play with them spuds.

The other arguement I've seen has merit too in regard to him taking the big money now in case his shoulders go tits up

Pity SOS isn’t at Carltoon any more.
He would guarantee to have stuffed up the deal

So he is torn between
Richmond's 2 year contract at say $480K per year with possible two premierships being loved by the Tiger Army or
Carlton's 4 year deal at say $700K per year with no premierships and being despised by the Tiger Army

Caution I am only guessing at the figures trying to work out why he is torn

If these were the figures, considering his past injury issues, a guaranteed $960k deal vs $2.8mill is a decent difference. One is life-changing the other probably not. It's not a decision you should be taking lightly.

Geez I'd rip your arm off for $960 k :))

I do get where you're coming from however.

What’s Jack worth in a trade?
If I was Hartley I would not budge on a first Rd pick. Firstly because he is playing better than other first Rd picks and secondly we owe those turds for Yarran.
Not sure of a player they have I would want??
