Pick 53: Jack Graham

Looking forward to seeing how he plays even for a half.

Might be a smokey later in the year?

You never know.

There are at half a dozen players who might be playing some games depending on form, the new buzz term 'managed' etc for the remaining 11 so games to have this group fresh for a finals/premiership assault.

Lose ball gets count as contested possessions, doesn't make a player inside.

It's still a contested situation. You're not going to get 18 or 19 contested possessions unless your putting yourself in a contested situation which will include plenty of inside ball. No way you'r going to consistently get 9+ possessions a game. There is no way Jackson was an outside player. His best footy was playing inside.

Loose Ball Get: a disputed ball at ground level not under direct physical pressure that results in an opportunity to record a legal disposal.

Also averaged 4.1 clearances a game in his last season. That's around top 50 in this year's list. Again a lot of clearances for someone playing outside.

Would you say perhaps, in a similar mold to Daniel Jackson? From pictures I've seen, looks a similar physique.

I recon Scott Thompson from Adelaide. Big inside brute who can run all day.

Good luck to the kid, hope he has a fun afternoon.

First chance to have a run n play a game with his team mates after a sustained injury rehab, as long as he gets through unscathed any stats he gets will be pure bonus.

Plenty of football still to be played this year, hopefully with his natural tank it won't take him to long to get his touch back and in 5 or 6 weeks he is pushing for an AFL debut, either way if he stays fit he should get plenty out of the rest of 2017

Yep, let's hope it happens!

Bit of footage of Jack from the weekend on the club site. Looks quicker than he did last year (the leg hampering him then?), especially bursting clear to kick the goal. A few good involvements, nice use by hand.

X and Richo seem very upbeat about his prospects. Despite the long layoff it's encouraging that his GPS numbers reflect that his fitness is already up to the mark. A full VFL game is planned this week.

From his junior highlights to me it looked like had great burst for an inside mid.

Kicking looked shocking though. Blazed a lot. Hopefully that improves.

Grigga on talking tigers refers to him as 'fridge graham'

Fridge. an oldy but a goody.
