Pick 53: Jack Graham

If he makes it that's great.

Is he an upgrade on Miles is the question.

Anyone know how he tested at the combine?

He didn't test at the Combine. He is much better athletically than Miles though: faster and already a bigger tank. And he's two inches taller and 10kg heavier. I was initially not a fan of this kid, thought pick 53 was ok though, now thinking we might have a bargain.

Daniel Jackson was pick 53.

Just saw the vid.

Quick
Tackles with intent - to hurt

Ok kick

Like the kid. Agree spook could be a bargain.

Watched Q3 and Q4 at punt road and loved what I saw. Mature body already, hard in and under, looked composed when disposing, he has played 2 games (50% of game 1 and 70% of game 2). Exciting addition to the midfield come end of the year 2018 and beyond.

To me he looks to have very similar attributes to Daniel Jackson. Have thought this right from the start.

He will play games this uear in the 1's.
Agree, if he stays injury free I think they'd like to have a look at him at AFL level.

Runs like Dane Swan

I will give you another comparison in Jack Viney of Melbourne.

Liked the way he hunts the ball but the video clip on the Tigers site shows him with good endurance and some speed. Also in that video the run down tackle was a beauty.

Stay fit and build his endurance further he will be a real weapon in the middle.

Graham is pretty mature physically. If we get him right he can make senior grade quickly. If he's good enough. (I'm a fan.)

That's one of the reasons we want to have a look at him in the ones this year. So we can plan the future midfield. Do we factor Graham? Do we need two additional mids for a premiership tilt? Do we already have one new one?

Shai could be another who comes on early. Interesting times.

The thing that impressed me most about Graham on that video was how quick he was over the first five.

With limited preaseason he would have no tank but the burst was there. And fast.

I've finally figured out who he moves and stylistically reminds me of, Ben Cunnington.

Nice to have a genuine young midfielder in the 2's.
