Pick 12 discussion.

GC just got Malceski to go with McKenzie, Harbrow down back. Not sure they have a need for Duggan. I see them maybe pulling a surprise and taking Durdin. Still think they need one more tall. And like Wright, Durdin is falling for no real reason. Great prospect.

Lever is also in the frame, hard to split those two.

I have it on good authority that we will be ecstatic that the player we pick at 12 was still available as we rated him a lot higer.

What has really surprised me is how high De Goeey is now rated. I've seen him touted as high as #5.

He was the guy I mentioned earlier in the season because I'd seen him play good footy at Oakleigh, but I never dreamed he'd be now considered one of the top prospects. Considering that he is a specialist small forward I reckon you have to be bloody good to go top 5.

The last small forard I can think of that deserved that accolade at u/18 level was Cyril. De Goeey is not nearly in that class from what I've seen.

How's your kid going with his footy, evo?

I can vouch for this too.

He's hanging in the Oakleigh systyem mate, but has fallen down the pecking order a bit. It's *smile* cut throat. :(

Hopefully he keeps hanging in there!

It's very cut throat. My Cousin went through the bushrangers a few years back and found out just how intense it was.

He's one guy who really impressed me in the TAC final & Collingwood match, he's more than just a forward though, he can play on the ball and win his fair share of contested footy. Reminds me of Luke Parker and I reckon he's just as strong overhead, will do extremely if he lands at a good club like Collingwood. He just need to up his production from 15 touches.

I think people see him as becoming a Jack Ziebell type, will play forward but able to be a physical on baller. The scope for improvement is there, his marking and one on one body work is superb. I wouldn't be taking him at 5. At 12, I'd be fine.

The TAC system & trying to get on a list can be very political. Lineball decisions invariable go to the kid with a more likeable family and a better attitude.

I have it on good authority that this will be the case for all of our draft picks.

Baloo can you please PM me with the name ?

Bound For Glory has -

12 - Weller
33 - McLean
52 - Goodyear
70 - Grace

No Gore either, she doesn't rate him for some reason.

At 12 that's a good result although she has Wright going to Adelaide, 33 isn't my preferred option but I could live with McLean (although a project of sorts) but would prefer Webb. At 52 she has us overlooking Bampton, Boekhorst, Jaden McGrath & James Rose, I would take these guys first.

Grace wasn't invited to the combine, he's a rookie selection at best, good stats but DE down. No Daniel either.

Wright wont get past #7. I reckon Melbourne will take him, and if they dont GWS definitely will. He is just the sort of player they like to stockpile.
