The conflict between Jews and Muslims obviously has to stop.
My cousin's best friend was born in Israel who was in the army back in his day, We have had good chats about this.
I have to explain some things to people that doesn’t know the truth about the war in Gaza.
Israel is a country that surrounded with a lot of Arabic states.
Since Israel was announced as a state, they absorbed non stop attacks from different arabic organizations like:
The Hamas, The Islamic Jihad Movement & The Fatah.
Israel had a quiet agreement with the Hamas.
Although this agreement, Israel absorbed Hamas rockets to south Israel in the last eight years.
The Hamas claim that was not involved and didn’t shoot those rockets.
But we clearly know that those terror attacks came from that Hamas.
Lately, the quiet agreement with the Hamas was over.
Israel asked to renew this agreement because they didn't want to fight them, But Hamas clearly opposed to that request and from that day
Hamas began to shoot a lot of rockets to Israel’s direction.
I feel sorry for Israel, I don't know how people who don't live in Israel can complain about their army.
What can they can do?
Those terror organizations don’t stop attacking them.
Hamas fire rockets without thinking where they are going land.
The actions of Israel’s army are careful, There target is to fight Hamas and not killing innocents.
But what can they do if Hamas keep use the Palestinians as a human shield and keep fire rockets to there direction.
They are terrorists, The Hamas people are sending their children to Fight. :'(
Gaza could be destroyed in an aerial attack but Israel doesn't want to kill innocent ppl.
Israel tried to find a diplomatic way, But the Muslims cant separate between the nation and their religion and that's the reason for the deep conflict. It's just a civilization which cant reflect their own, The civilization is undeveloped and I don't feel sorry for the Gaza people, Because it is in their own responsibility to find a peaceful way, But they refuse.
I'm no Muslim, I'm no Jew......................Just my opinion.

Be interesting to see what the fall-out from the UN bombing is. More he said/she said, with the Govt saying that Hamas were attacking Israel from the UN compound and that no phosphorous munitions were used, but with the UN saying no Hamas activity was in their area and the fires in the compound were started by phosphorous agents.
Hopefully both sides pull their heads in and a ceasefire is called ASAP. The civilian death toll for all sides is too high now.

according to a depressing BBC report the death toll goes something like this:
“Palestinian deaths in the Gaza Strip have passed 1,000, medical sources in Gaza say, as Egypt continues efforts to broker a ceasefire.
Nearly a third of the dead are reported to be children and nearly 5,000 people have been injured.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza said 1,013 people have died in the conflict which started 19 days ago.
More than 300 of the dead are said to be children, 76 are women and more than 4,500 people have been injured, of whom 1,600 are children and 678 are women.
Thirteen Israelis have been killed, including three civilians and one soldier from rockets fired from Gaza and nine soldiers killed in fighting in Gaza…….”

Apparently there has been a cease fire.
Although 7 hrs after cease fire rickets were fired into Israel, When will this end.

It won't mate.
Its why Israel shouldn't bother with international 'outrage' and ceasefires....they need to keep on going and clean up as much of Hamas as they can.
All ceasefires do is give them time to regroup, rearm, and batten down the hatches and we do it all over again.

Hate to agree with Liv on anything, but he's on the money here. Was walking the dog this arvo and already the IDF is fighting people in Gaza city and a couple of rockets had been lobbed out too.

That was always going to be a challange to western nations. Do we truly support democracy or only when it suits us? I mean, we go into various countries under the guise of removing dictators all in the name of democracy but here we have a democratically elected government and we still aren't happy.

Agree with that (although it was just Gaza I think, pretty sure Fatah still run the West Bank). Not a good situation though, for the man on the street Hamas were the only guys helping them out with food, welfare and the like, and when you're left with nothing you grab help from anyone offering it.
If the truce lasts on both sides more than 48hrs I'll be impressed, but I hope I'm proven wrong.
