When he kicked his last goal, Dusty made DangerElbow look like Wile E Coyote chasing the Road Runner.

Watched the hit again. I swear if you watch his bent arm, there is follow through after the collision. His arm moves further away from his body while connecting with Flossy. Can't believe there wasn't some intent, even if the intent was Danger's fear of physical contact.

Dangerfield is the media and AFL's love child so they are blind to his less that sporting acts which is why he gets way with his game. One day he will try his act on a Barry Hall type and that will be a joy to watch

Great read

no one has mentioned if a send off rule should apply. We lost a key player and they gained a benefit. Although accordionists to the mro he was innocent
Those accordionists are a contrary group. We should appeal to the concertina department, much more reasonable :gotiges

I'm in the unfortunate accident camp. Both players moving at speed, ball drew him up, no time to react. It was so fast I doubt anyone watching on TV even knew what had happened until they saw a replay. Missed free kick but nothing more. I thought it was pretty telling that even with the game stopped there was zero angst from the players towards Dangerfield. No way that happens if they think he clubbed him on purpose.
Christian might've not have suspended him.
But the Richmond football club has given him a life time to think about how *smile* he played in the biggest game in his career.
Maybe it just proves he is like what jack Dyer would say 'a good ordinary player'.

there's intent. after he hits the ball away, Vlast arrives, DangerElbow tucks the arm in then subtly swings and puts the force into Vlasts head.. with his eyes on Vlasts head, then he looks away ...
its Fyfe-like .. yeah its at speed, but these blokes are experienced ...

Personally I couldn’t understand the hype around him playing fwd recently. He has been playing fwd on and off for years. He has played fwd against us previously and done nothing. With Grimes, Broad, Balta, Vlastuin etc down there I was never concerned about his impact as a fwd. It was a massive win that he wasn’t playing around the ball as much to be honest

Spot on. He had played forward as far back as 2015.

The media and Scott got stooged by his 3 goals against Sydney.
The thing the media thought would be the difference in the game ending up being a complete failure.

He had the arm extended to tap the ball, he tapped the ball and then protected himself. Different if he raises the arm
Without tapping the ball. I can’t stand him but this is just an unfortunate football incident imo. If he drops his arm he ends up unprotected?

Maybe he shouldn’t have tapped it like he did?
Sorry Doc. He DID raise the arm.
There are multiple camera angles. Most are inconclusive and would lead to a conclusion of "an unfortunate collision of players", but one angle very clearly shows he knocked the ball away THEN raised the elbow.
He's lucky he's wearing a Geelong jumper.

And as far as I can tell he showed no concern for the bloke laying unconscious on the deck.
