Paddy Dangerdive

He wasn't forward all 2nd half.
He was in the centre when Astbury got the free kick when Hawkins held him, he was in the back 50 when Prestia kicked his goal and then Dusty slapped him to the boundary.
Yeah....

This! I was shocked when the going got tuff Selwood led with his head or ducked searching for contact. Tough player but you're not going to lift your side with these weak acts. Effectively they have Danger, Selwood and Hawkins all with this modus operandi. It was sad to watch, imagine being on their team?

3 disposals in the second half. 3.

Trying to remember if one of them was a kick from the back half when he was partly scragged
Kick went very high and not far and basically was of no value.

Pity he doesn’t get stats for strutting

Danger was very lucky that ball came along when it did.

Visibly sooked a lot of the 2nd half.

shoulders stooped, legs heavy.

a bridesmaid.

Dusty shaking him into the fence with a flick of the hips in the final act

was a perfect moment.

danger joins The All-Australians humiliated by Dusty on The Biggest Stage Club.

U could just about throw Sam Taylor into it too when dusty broke his ankles and danced around him and kicked that goal in the second qtr in the grand final last year.

Like a cricketer checking his bat for the cherry after hitting a boundary.

He would have to be up there as one of the softest players I’ve ever seen. He was one of many who crumbled when the pressure came.

He was gone before the bounce.
We might've been down 1 player from the 6 minute of the first qtr but Geelong were down 2 from the bounce.
Miers and Rohan.
I was rapt they played them.

I thInk the commentary was something like “and Selwood still fighting to the very end”. I think it was Brucey.....
Yes it was Bruce. It's amazing that commentators like him are so blind to their hypocrisy.

I'm loathed to call anyone in the AFL soft but totally agree on this one...plus the constant diving and staging makes him one of the few players in the AFL I truly dislike.

Dangerfield is a very good footballer but comparing him to Dustin Martin is like comparing Grant Hackett to Ian Thorpe. it is like comparing Marnus Labuschagne to Don Bradman. It is like comparing Llyeton Hewett to Rafa Nadal. Andrew Gaze to Lebron James....etc

Don’t think he is soft in the true sense, more that he looks to the umps for free kicks when it all gets a bit hard. The free Astbury got in the 4th, Danger thought it was his free after being bodied out by Shorty.

Funny talking to Geelong supporter and i mention how dusty hides the norm smith and actually doesn't want to talk about it. But mention team and premiership and he lights up with excitement and is proud as. Noticed how the norm smith is always hidden yet the premiership medal is showing. THe Geelong supporters all agreed, Danger would show the Norm Smith and hide the premiership. Its about the Danger Show not the team.

Yeah even when he was going up for his premiership medal. He'd already received the Normie, but when he was going up it was nowhere to be seen, already tucked under his jumper at that point.

I'm in the unfortunate accident camp. Both players moving at speed, ball drew him up, no time to react. It was so fast I doubt anyone watching on TV even knew what had happened until they saw a replay. Missed free kick but nothing more. I thought it was pretty telling that even with the game stopped there was zero angst from the players towards Dangerfield. No way that happens if they think he clubbed him on purpose.

2 things.

1) I disagree, his elbow is extended out for the hit so I don't buy that this was accidental.

2) you are supposed to get at least cited, if not suspended, for careless contact to the head, especially when it knocks someone out.

I'm still not buying that this is an accident:

Danger elbow.jpg

Looks bloody intentional to me, what is that elbow doing extended out? Not 3 players, 2, and Grimes is behind him.

Dog act, covered up by the AFL who play favourites.

If Lynch, or Toby Greene, or lots of others (not Fyfe he does a drive by elbow and nothing to see here) did this they would be out for 4 weeks.
