St George reaped the benefits of Smith and also David Waite long long after both had left. (I'm a huge wrap on Waite as well, Sheens has done amazing work at the Tigers but Waite would have been my first choice back then)
Smith is the best thing for Newcastle in the post-Joey era.

Tipped the Storm to win by 4, but yeah like you said mb missing 6 through Origin. Saw a bit of the game and defence from both teams was strong.

Smith has grabbed Luke MacDougall(2007) and Danny Wicks and Wes Naiqama(2008) from Saints already. Newcastle will be a force under Smith.

The Tigers Knights game was an excellent football game, and to be honest, I was shocked to see the state of the stadium given the storms, playing field was top notch.
33-14 didn't reflect on how Newcastle played at all. If it had ended at 21-14 that would have been more fair to the Knights.
