NRL

Got the Toyota Cup on before watching the Storm V Bulldogs granny, even though i'm not a tragic nrl follower it feels more grand final day than the afl purely because the reserves granny is on beforehand, better than 5 hours of saturated chit chat before the game.

Great win Stormers!!!

Sydney takes AFL cup, Storm takes NRL cup. ;D

2nd premiership.....and it IS OFFICIAL !!!

Well done to the Storm.

Really thought the Bulldogs forwards could win this game for them. But it didn't happen.

So did I but the game was too defensive with so many line dropouts. Cam failed again with convertions, but the Storm defence held the team.

Weird yeah?
Both code administrators would be loving it.

I think we show more respect for Swans because they were born in South Melb whereas the Storm is realistically a non-rugby team from birth so I can still sense some envy from other NRL clubs, fans and media.

Could've been a different story if North Sydney or Balmain or Illawarra etc... relocated here.

No, I don't think so....he was reported straight the way.
They are not going to look at a replay to see if he did a Mike Tyson.

Yeah..nah. I just thought it was a crazy enough act that they might look at it over half time. And in the replay you can see a ref who looks like he's only a few feet away and looking straight at the filthy biter.

gotto love the ch 9 commentators... they were as flat as steamrolled pancakes. :hihi

There were some great moments. Gould was insightful as always. The attempted knee to head which was him just holding his ground. Funny stuff.

Good to see the Tigers win the Toyota cup.

My father is an old Balmain man. Really hurt him when they merged with Western Suburbs.
That's the first place I went too when I went to Sydney.
Drank a beer at the Balmain RSL in the 80s. ;D

What a great weekend of sport, the Swannies and the Storm.
Gees the commentataors went silent when they knew the Storm had it in the bag.
Hopefully they get back to back.

Cam Smith had a shocker kicking for goal but his game on the park was incredible especially that try saving tackle and loved how Billy got a try after having his ear bitten.

Both clubs showed alot of character.

You can have the talent but you need that extra something special to go all the way.
