Complacent Tigers deservedly 2nd to Canterbury, flattered by 14-24 score. Very poor effort...
Big things expected from the tiges this year, had a gut feel Doggies would win, tipped 6/8.

Unsurprised Canterbury got past us also . Only positive is the Tigers are literate , given they spent the pre-season reading , if not writing, their own press . Mistakes at this time of the year ok , but a distinct lack of effort (anytime) , like last night , definitely not . NZ @ Leichhardt next.

yeah tandy needed to go ........ apartently had not much to say ..... to anybody......hhhmmmmmmmm

get ready all for another dragon fire storm .......it's coming-===---====--===-=-===-

Well done to the Storm boys who beat Manly 18-6 last night. Not sure if w ehave a side that can challnge for the title but we'll be therabouts come finals time.

For that to happen , ( title) they probably need the lesser names to go to another level , Smith, Cronk and Slater cant win it by themselves,

Some of them are capable , but its probably a big ask ,

Im expecting finals , but miss the top 4, but happy to be proven wrong.

Must admit i will smile for every game the Storm wins this year.

Every win for them will be a big achievement considering who theyve lost.

Thing about Melbourne is they have Bellamy and they have a culture, which will transform some youngsters into names and some others into better players.

Biggest interest for me re Champion will be to see how the Melbourne culture benefits him as the Souths culture wont help Inglis.

Tipping a nightmare so far

Great win from Storm, couldn't believe the Raiders result & Manly win was a surprise.Dragons should account for Sharks tonight.

Its way too early to get a gauge on who are the contenders and pretenders yet,

But am very happy with how the Storm have started ,

I think everyone in the media writing them off has forgotten the Bellamy factor,

His ability to get the most out of a relatively unknown or unwanted player , cant be under estimated ,

Will be interesting to see how far he can go with this group.

Spot on

Bunnies cheque book therapy not working.

Sides full of big names dont put the hard yards in as often expecting each other of the superstars to perform magic tricks and do it.

Im gonna make a statemnet for the Bunnies.

They need to give Wesser the arse in fact i dont know why they got him in the first place hes past it.

Inglis would be a great option at Full Back, boy is going to get more ball and get more room to move and be damging at #1`for the Bunnies than out on the flank, and Sandow and Sutton are too inconsistent to set GI up the way he was set up by Cronk, Finch and Smith.

Bunnies bit slim in the backs, Merrett and Inglis are bout it the rest are not much chop.

Sharkies also thin in the backs, and the Raiders were real short on ticker last week disgraceful effort from the Green Machine who relied on Orfiord too much and then completely capitulated when Buttris went off with no run and direction from dumby half.

Doggies coupla good efforts, and Manly, Penrith, Parra, and Newcastle continue to be the bane of my tipping.

Disappointing performance by Storm last night who got thumped by Cowboys. Also have some injury concerns ahead of their game against Doggies next Monday night.Sika Manu a big concern with what appeared to be a pretty serious ankle injury.

Wayen Bennett to finish up as Dragons coach at seasons end.Likely destination Brisbane next season but he hasn't ruled out staying in Sydney where the Bunnies might throw the cheque book at him.All time great coach.

Why is he leaving?

Got them a flag, his family still live in Brisbane so you would expect him to return there.Other possibilities are Knights or Bunnies,if he went there the challenge would be to get them a title & the 2 mil a year he would probably receive.

I reckon he will find the superannuation contract offered by the Knights too hard to refuse.

Don't think so Streak. You will hear of his return to the Broncoes later this week.
