NRL

Correct MB as i posted a lil while back, the Raiders were waiting on the ox getting clearance.

Im tipping the Raiders to push for a flag in 2012, they are assembling a very good group.

Orford and a fit Campese in the halves are top combination.

Vidot, Croker and Dugan developing exciting young backs.

Hard working 2nd rowers in Tongue, and youngsters Fensom and Picker.

Throw in a formidable pack choc full of Rep players in Shillington, Harrison, White, Learoyd Lahrs and the Raiders are going places.

Campeses injury will hold them up a little in 2011 but Orfords arrival is massive for the Green Machine.

Ive a soft spot for this outfit and hope they go well.

Season 2012 is gonna be even bigger than 2011 especially with the Storm playing for keeps again. Thompson and Champion will be good contributers whilst Hinchcliffe will get more game time also. The return of Stewart and Williams to the Sea Eagles will improve Manlys scoring power as will the addition of Jeremy Smith, and Wade Graham to the cronulla outfit. In Gallen, Snowden, Douglas Tupou, and Smith the Sharkies have a good pack but they still lack power in the backs Smith fit and firing in the #7 will be vital as will Graham in at #6.

Tigers are my early tip if they can play consistant footy and all depends on the wonder boy in the #6.

Dragons will be thereabouts too as they have the great Wayne Bennett.

Doggies will improve on last year also especially with Tolman, Pritchard and Eastwood in the pack and the careers of Ivan Henjak and Neil Henry may both come to an end this year if the Broncos and Cowboys struggle.

Shame for Henry is a good coach at the wrong team, the Cowboys are a fractured unit

Shaun Berrigan signed with the Warriors.

Bad news for Canterbury Bankstown with Greg Eastwood to miss first 4 weeks post wrist surgery.

Getting closer to kick off.

Can't wait, had enough of watching Aust play cricket

Looks like Braith Anasta is on the outer at the Chooks. No contract extension offered despite his good form in 2010.

Karmas a *smile* eh Braith.

Held the dogs to ransom along with SBW and Mason.

Then goes to Roosters for the big bucks and then they realise theyve payed mega bucks for a ordinary 5/8.

Carney arrives and shows what a real 5/8 is and Anasta and his big $$ can take a hike.

Thing is he'll probably still be shopped around for top $$

Maybe he can go to the Bears when they come back.

Reading the web this morning l reckon Anasta might stay. You raise a good point re his departure from the Dogs Craig.

Looks like Sonny Bill Williams will return to NRL next year, bit of a shame.l would have preferred to see him out of the NRL after the way he treated the Doggies.

SBW should be banned from NRL.

Bloke is a mercenary 100 %

Dead set zero integrity.

Mustve been told he wont be an All Black so off we go back to the game that wasnt a challenge anymore and he was tired of.

He wont be at Canterbury safe to assume.

Surely Souths cant afford him unless he signs for 10K a year ansd Russell Crowe gives hime a $2 million personal cheque.

Spot on Craig

It wouldnt be a normal pre season a few weeks out from the kick off for NRL without a scandal.

This one will drag out a bit and will bring some shame to a few i reckon.

Ryan Tandy has apparently been arrested

May be more to come too. Reckon Gallop will struggle to contain this can of worms, especially with more clubs aligning with betting agencies now

Yep,if they get to the bottom of this it will be a PR nightmare for the NRL.

This is an Alice moment. Do they investigate seriously, not knowing where this rabbit hole will lead?

IMO they have no choice, and they have to jump down the rabbit hole regardless of where this leads, and the number of players and club officials who get implicated (and again, IMO it would be naive to think this stops at one player).

If they don't, so soon after the squib job they did regarding the Souths/Ingliss farce, it will make the NRL look like a complete joke.

Could get very ugly if they dig deep enough.

NRL commission may be afraid of what they will find here.

Heres hoping for the sake of the game and the fans that this is just an isolated incident involving just a handful of very dumb people.
