Never trust anyone connected with Manly :(

We were all hoping Crocker( Clints best mate) was going to seek revenge on Perry in his last game in Australia, the rumor was gaining momentum around Storm traps in the week leading up to the game, unfortuantly It did'nt happen, I think when the media got hold of this story on GF morning that ended any chance of it , and then Mick broke his ribs as well, which did'nt help.

But lets not go back to that game , I'm still geting over it.

You too MB. Finally I'm optimistic again about the Dragons chances now we have an inspirational coach.

There's a whisper around that the Storm are looking at Reni Matua. Have you heard any more?

Apparently Souths,Cronulla,Gold Coast or STorm will get him.His best options are out of Sydney so Melb or Gold Coast should get him.My tip is he'll go to the Storm.

Storm rumoured to be shopping Steve Turner around.

yep, heard that too,

Been a good player, but the harsh reality is, his better days are behind him.

Have to be pro-active in your list management.

Also has a dodgy knee

Just out of interest MB, what were the two young kids like that were sent off to the GC to solve the Turner situation last year?

If the Storm get rid of him ... Could last years decision be seen as short sighted? (If these two kids turn out to be stars). I dare say the Storm would have won last years title in a canter without Turner, he wasn't exactly a key

One of the kids has played some games with the Titans but with no real impact. The other still pl.aying lower grades.Turner wanted to stay & Storm supported him but overall the Storm didn't handle this very well

Reni Maitua signed one year contract with Cronulla.

Not even dinner with Rusty Crowe could get the Reni "BRA BOY" to join Johnny Sutton at Bra boy Bunnies.

Just replacing one trouble maker in Bird with another.

Maybe a run at the shire will help Reni pull his head in.

Now all the Dogs need to do is flick Te Maari and Roberts and the Bulldogs have a much more Canterbury Bankstown feel with good leaders , solid citizens and less big headed ego maniacs.

Out has gone, Mason, Williams, Maitua and Tonga sadly Price, Thurston, and O Meally had to make way for the 2 main mercenaries in Mason and Williams who both turned their back first chance they got.

With a heavy off season the Doggies will have a markedly different feel and look about next season with the additions of Hannant, Ennis and Stagg from the Broncos, Josh Morris from the Dragons, Buddy Gordon, from the Bunnies, Hodgson from the Titans and Noddy Kimmorley.

Heres a possible starting 17 for the dogs next season.

1 Patten

2 El Masri

3 Morris

4 Millard

5 Idris

6 Holdsworth / Barba

7 Kimmorley

8 Hannant

9 Ennis

10 Hickey

11 Hodgson

12 Ryan (c)

13 Stagg

14 - Harrison

15 - Armit

16 - Sullivan

17 - Williams

Good to see the *smile* heads being moved out of Canterbury. Shame they cant do the same with a lot of their fans.

For Cronulla Sutherland the Sharkies should threaten next year with Barret replacing Kimmorley to join a fit Brett Seymour, Brett Kearney, Paul Gallen, Anthony Tupou, Pommeroy, Ross, Covell and now Maitua.

If Cronulla couldve hung onto Isaac De Gois and had Greg Bird not imploded geez they'd be my favourites for their first flag in 09.

No Bird and no DeGois will hold them back a little but Maitua and Tupou are handy additions to the Sharkies.
