Graham Murray has been given the immediate heave ho from the Cowboys.Has been their most successful coach & has received some very shabby treatment from the Cowboys.

This is disappointing, I always liked Murray

Cowboys are fraying at the edges a little for mine.

The club did not have a successful past nor a culture of success which Murray helped bring to the joint with stalwart clubmen such as the Bear Bowman etc.

Since finals action the players over rate emselves i reckon and are big fish in a very very small bowl (Townsville).

I reckon the egos need to be addressed or the Cowboys will remain nothing more than a side with potential.

The Cowboys need a Storm like regime up there to get the joint on track again.

Very dissapointed for Murray, very good coach who is not deserving of that sort of crap.

Origin 1 on tonight with QLD going in as favourites despite playing in Sydney.I'm going for an upset in game 1 with the blues to win at home.

The thing with origin, there are no certainties, there is a strong history of the underdog getting up,

The Blues have a tradesman look about them, while the Maroons have the flair,

If the Blues can control the ruck, and I think they will be well drilled under Bellamy, they are more than capable of causing an upset,

An old cliche, fowards win games, backs decide by how much.

But I dont really care who wins, as a kiwi always watch this one as a neutral and just enjoy the contest , and barrack for the Storm players as individuals ,

Fingers crossed no injuries,

Go Billy, hope he has a blinder , and shows the wider rugby league community what us Storm supporters have known about him for a long time, he is a very special player.

Sadly i concur MB.

The blues pack is choc full of 80 minute players whilst the Maroons pack lacks that apart from Petero.

Lockyer and Price are massive outs for the Maroons.

The Maroons must get an early lead if they are to win as they will be low on petrol tickets com 65 minutes.

Go Qld.

NSW leading 14-4 at half time & were clearly the better side.QLD scored try right on the siren.Think NSW will win from here.

Not looking good. There is no way Thurston is a better half back than Scott Prince, he is kiling Qld with his passing and kicking game.

Final score 18-10 to NSW.QLD will need to bring Prince into the side.Get rid of PJ Marsh & relook at their attacke which was woeful. The scoreline flattered QLD.

Dont fret MB my son Locky and Price will be back and Marsh will be flicked. Prince may get a look in but the selectors wont drop JT hes an incumbant and they dont get dropped.

NSW woulda got my money tonight like i said a NSW win was always on tonight.

Qld looked soft round the edges and didnt play enough disciplined footy.

Very very good Blues outfit with a gun coach in Bellamy dont forget.

It'll be 1 each after origin 2 dont worry son.

Ditto i must concur.

At the 25 minutes i thought a dead set belting was on the cards instead only a belting resulted ;)

:( :(

Bang Bang Bang.

Thats the sound of the nails likely to be driven into the coffins of the NSW careers of Ryan, Hindmarsh, Ryles and Kite for mine.

NSW will have to be injury hit badly for these guys to get back.

Geez it moves quick 2 years ago i couldnt think of a NSW side without Hindmarsh innit.

Rugby League exacts a huge physical toll now and rep careers are not gonna reach the dizzy heights of 25 + appearances anymore i dont reckon.

Civoniceva, Lockyer when he returns and Buderus may be the last of the long termers

I truly hope Qld drop Thurston, though I know it won't happen. There is no way he is a better half than Scott Prince. The best we can hope for is for Lockyer to come back and carry Thurston like in the past few years.

The loss of Lockyers class and calm head showed tonight, same goes for Stevie Price.

Price, Locky and Prince would be good ins.

Dallas Johnston must seriously look at his tackling technique, this kid is going to get the gong for the most knocked out player ever at Origin.

Had he been fit and in form Mat Rogers woulda been an option for the bench utility back spot i reckon, can play centre, wing and 5/8 instead of Marsh.

I dont kow, whilst the Maroons had the dancers in the backline they lacked strength out wide and were exploited at their own game.

Bellamy knows most of the Qld team so also knows how to coach against them( Smith, Inglis, Johnson, Slater, Folau , Crocker etc).

Damn i hate it when the cockroaches win.

Mal Meninga for some reason doesn't want to bring in Prince for the 2nd game.Would have he was a certainty for game 2 after QLD's deplorable attack last night.
