Craig Bellamy refuses to rule out a switch to the Broncos at the end of his contract.Would think there is some chance the Storm will release him at season's end & appoint Steve Kearney.

Storm down 8-4 at half time in world challenge.A few misstakes by Storm but overall they were okay.Already noticeable Matt King will be a massive loss this year.

Storm end up losing 11-4.Didn't see 2nd half but from all reports it was an arm wrestle with Leeds the deserved victor.Cam Smith was sorely missed.

Weather was really bad,

Rain and strong winds, poms handled it slightly better, probably more used to it,

Yeah, Cam was missed, Geyer at dummy half was a bit average.

Eels young gun Jarrod Hayne has been involved in a drive by shooting.Fortunately not injured but out until the early hours is not a good move by Hayne.More details to follow.

NRL culture is still back in the 70s and 80s and whilst the commission has cleanead and somewhat sanitised the game on field the off field behaviour, culture and drinking etc hasnt changed.

Lets be honest there aint that many rocket scientists out there and NRL players out drinking at 4-5 am 2 weeks out from the season kicking off is pretty bloody ordinary, but then again these blokes are out drinking until 4 in the morning during the season too ....... go figure.

Things arent the way they were.

Players are targets for cretins and big noting clowns and gangs now when they go out. There are people who want to have a go at em whether they do anything to create attention or not.

Players in this day and age just jave to realise that such activities and behaviour are unnacceptable and proffessionalism demands more responsible behaviour.

A player will be seriously injured one day and it will be sooner rather than later for mine.

Good to see Folaus mercenary manager asking for 1.6 million or whatever hes asking.

He may be good but he aint worth not having a side after being unable to pay anyone else.

Canterbury learnt the hard way having to lose Thurston, Price, O Meley and Myles and Asotasi cos of the huge money Mason and Willams were sucking from the salary cap.

The Bulldogs have Williams still but no one else and are destined to struggle for a few years as a result.

One day clubs will wake up to this fact.

Ridiculous money for a centre.Doggies apparently prepared to pay Falou's asking price but he is favoured to remain at Storm or head to Broncos.

He's good but even $350,000 a season is plenty for him to stay at the Storm. He'd be a mug to go elsewhere for more, especially Dogs or Broncos.

Melbourne lost a superstar in King. They have three more in Smith, Inglis and Hoffman which they must retain at all costs.

Next priority for Storm is Dallas Johnson who is expected to re-sign once the Falou saga is over.

Yep- agree

The Stormers must try and keep the likes of Slater, White, Cronk, Hoffman, Inglis, Johnstone, Crocker and Folau together the rest will look after itself they are the 8 this side is built on.

Kaufusi when fit is very crucial also, and Chambers will be a beauty. ;)

Interesting to see the Raiders after looking like they were building a very nice young side a a HUGE chance to lose there 2 young guns in Carney and Zillman, also Neville Costigan who has been linked with Titans, Zillman with Broncos, and Carney with the Sea Eagles.

Once everyone wanted to be a raider now they cant hang on to their kids ................. understandable though considering Costiagn and Willy Z are Maroons.

The season hasnt started and the player movements already are being solicited.

Wath this space big big mail will see Craig Gower at Belmore after his French sojurn fell through.

David Vaealiki also has returned to NRL from Superleague but not with the Eels hes suiting up for ..................... you guessed it the SEA EAGLES.

Matt Rogers is my tip to form a very formidable combination with Scotty Prince in the halves at the Titans with Ashley Harrison to play lock and provide strength and class to the Titans pack.

Bring it its nearly here ;D ;D ;D ;D

Danny Buderas to leave Knights at season's end & play for Leed's in superleague 2009-2010.Another one who has departed under the little hittler regime

Yep another star off to line their pockest with pounds and bump up the ol super.

Really you cant blame em the money on offer in NRL pales in comparison to AFL.

Great News for the Raiders with young 5/8 has signed with Canberra for another 2 years, which will make Raiders fans happy, this kid is going to be a dead set star. Im also happy he hasnt been snatched by Manly or the Roosters :hihi

Hopefully the Raidres for their sake can retain young gun Zillman and Hardman Neville Costigan.

NRL SEASON KICK OFF IN UNDER 30 MIN ;D ;D ;D

THANK %@^$#@^% for the return of league with the AFL next week, life returns to normal ffs.

2 cracking games tonight the Bunnies and the Roosters and the Titans up against the Cowboys.

Im tipping for this round

Bunnies

Titans

Eels

Sea Eagles

Knights

Broncos

Dragons

Stormers

Roosters beat Bunnies - Bad start to the season for Souths with Craoig Wing injuring his shoulder i believe possible dislocation which could be most of the season if not all of it should he need a reconstruction.

Cheap shot by Roosters hooker, should be suspended

Pathetic cheap shot from Brown, apparently the Roosters train to hold players up for cheap hits. The hit on Brown at the end of the game though was great vengeance.
