Noah Balta - Welcome to Tigerland

I’d also suggest that for player’s like Lambert to improve from a 2/10 to an 8/10 is not solely coaching. Yes good development coaching will do a lot to enable the player to reach their max. potential, but I also think it’s the individual’s desire to be the best they can. Lambert obviously has that in spades, I reckon Foley had it, he just cruelled by injuries and poor management of those in the end. Great players have both talent, are well developed and coached and have the internal desire as well.

Lots of extremely talented people never reach their potential because they do not have the wherewithal to do the work to be their best.

Then there are the buddy franklins. Had he been at the wrong club then there is a good chance he may be out of the system by now. Dusty as well. A couple of Suns players come to mind....

I think if we had picked Franklin all those years ago he would have not reached his lofty heights.

Let’s not kid ourselves we were the equivalent of the Suns all those years ago.

Jr is comfortable with finding a new family if he doesnt make the cut for RFC

At least he’ll get a game with the Gold Coast

Did a couple of ridiculous things. Still doesnt quite realise that when he walks on the park 9/10 times he's the most gifted athlete there. When that sinks in, look out.

Again showed some freaky talent, I actually like his game in the sense that it was happening for him but he was working hard. Though Ceglar is no star his a genuine ruck size so it was good for NB to contest in the ruck against him, I think he’ll destroy the part time rucks with his leap , I think his gone past Grigga 8-

He does smart things. First mark and goal Reiwoldt kicked was only be a use Balta out bodied his opponent to prevent him coming in third man to punch. He has the footy smarts that will make him an even better player.

Still not sure he is quite ready for the bigtime yet. Does some very clever things but not consisitent enough IMO. He is still undersized for a second ruck and our ruck work improved when Soldo came on.
Reckon Balta's only chance to player round 1 is if Lynch doesn't play

You might be right but gee i hope they play him. Might play with George and Caddy out (forward structure) and Grigg out (to chop Nank out in the ruck).

Plays round 1. When Lynch and Caddy get back who knows, but he’s still a baby. 19 ffs. If he can grab the opportunity and compete he’ll be a valuable cog in this side.

UK soldo did u actually see him after the tap outs nowhere to be seen. He is a liability Soldo.
Balta will contest the ruck and then play like a mid. Also can go forward and kicks goals. Mobile and agile, cant have a dinosaur like soldo not providing anything else other than tap outs. Balta will play RD 1

I'd play him even with Lynch in the team. Adds some flexibilityas an extra tall whether forward, back or mid. Could play him, Lynch and Jack forward at times

I would play him because he has something. X factor.
He might not have been dominate in the forward line, but his centre bounce work was really good.

Balta went from chocolates to boiled lollies tonight, but with Caddy, Grigg and maybe Lynch out, he plays Rd 1.
And what's wrong with boiled lollies?

We've seen what he can play like when his arse is on fire, Smelbourne. We've seen him find a way to do a couple of tidy things to help out when he's not having such a good night, Hawforn. Perfect type to have among the interchange group.

Kid influences play n things start happening, team lifting n heaps of fun for the fans as well.

Balta must play before Soldo.
Balta brings much more flexibility to the team than Soldo and adds another dynamic to the team structure.
I see Soldo as just a workman-like backup should injuries take their toll.

A coupe of early games for Balta will do his learning and accelerate his development no end.

Reckon we should invest some games into him and you never know, might give us another qtr like last week.

Should play
