I’d also suggest that for player’s like Lambert to improve from a 2/10 to an 8/10 is not solely coaching. Yes good development coaching will do a lot to enable the player to reach their max. potential, but I also think it’s the individual’s desire to be the best they can. Lambert obviously has that in spades, I reckon Foley had it, he just cruelled by injuries and poor management of those in the end. Great players have both talent, are well developed and coached and have the internal desire as well.
