I was at waverly for the Swans game ,

And was sitting in my shed with a beer listening to Rex call the Geelong game in the days of little TV coverage ,

Played too many games to qualify, Tm05. 13 last year. 10 is the limit.

Pick 26 for Botlon
Pick 25 for Balta

Call it luck, call it whatever but it’s those sort of draft choices that ensures you keep your premiership window open for longer.

Shai actually went pick #29, given KB's guernsey # 29 all good Karma, it was meant to be:)

Becoming very formidable in the backline, will soon be a player that teams plan around.

Playing the way he is as the only key defender in the side is extraordinary. Would have to be in the top 3 or 4 key backs in the comp at the moment. Big test up next against Hawkins

Think the key with taking on Hawkins right now is getting some assistance for his opponent so it’s not a one out situation. In saying that, from what I’ve seen this year I reckon Balta is as good of a match up physically as any defender to play on him.

Balta has now proved he is a very good defender during the H&A - consistently been good.

His next challenge starts against Hawkins and the continues during the finals - he has the chance to announce himself as an elite player, the sky is the limit and he can write his own script if he wants to.

Thought he tore Taberner a new one tonight. Thwarted many of his marks. Only touches Taberner got was a dodgy free and where Balta got caught running off him.

Looking forward to seeing how he goes on Hawkins. Hawkins is a smart player so Balta will need to be careful

Towelled Taberner.

Going from strength to strength. Big test next week, I think he's up for it.
