good vid that. he's a very good lad.

Anyone think that his girlfriend could be the girl from the first season of house of cards, who frank pushes in front of a train??

Uncanny.

I can't see how you came to that conclusion, Rance, Martin, Riewoldt & Cotchin are streets ahead. Vlastuin would struggle to make a top 4 side on present form, he simply needs to increase his production levels, at the moment he's a poor man's Dane Rampe.

Fits the Richmond no-nonsense, school boy captain, courageous trier who gives his all. But doesn’t produce enough. Doesn’t get involved enough.

Nick V and Brandon Ellis matured tremendously this season.
Put them in the A grade category from now on.

He played HBF which requires the right mix of defensive pressure and negating and being part of the rebound. This is where Vlastuin has excelled this year.

He will get even better but he is already more than a courageous trier, his ball use and decision making makes him a much better player than that

there was some talk on another thread suggesting it is unlikely he will increase his possession rate much after 3 years in the system.
as a HBF he is compared to Hodge, who averaged 18 disposal in yr 3, before averaging high 20s in yr 4, and Enright, who averaged under 20 for his first 5 years before jumping up to mid 20s.
no reason Vlastuin cant do the same, whether he is played across half back, or on the ball.

good result, 6th in the B&F.

Great post. No need to put a ceiling on what he can do. When he improves his tank further it is only natural he will get more of it.

If Dea got the best VFL player any chance he could take over from flossy which would then mean Flossy to the midfield

With Yarran coming on board does this free Flossy up to play the big bodied midfield role he is very tough and the ball and man could tag i guess or help Cotch etc thoughts?

Still a few years away from being a genuine mid. Needs to build his endurance and learn to get more of the ball.

Yarran will play the role that Hunt was playing down back. This should free Hunt up to play at Punt Road.

I think Hunt is a coach favourite and I doubt he will be making way for Yarran. I still think Yarran could be that elusive skillful small forward we've been missing. I just can't see him not playing there at some stage this year. They experimented with Morris there for god's sake. Does raise the question though is Morris's days numbered?

We can only hope Morris' days are numbered
