Played mainly midfield that day.

He has ability. Something is holding him back. Injured?

Something is holding him back, spot on. Its called Hardluck our dumb coach.

Has gone so far backward since yr 1 it's not funny.
Hard to watch, and get concerned every time he has the ball.....

Disappointed in his progress this year but my view is that if we have a coaching panel who insists on a defensive forward then he is the man. I don't like him in the back half because I have always held the view that he is better pushing forward. He has become too defensive minded and lost his ability to get the pill.

Would be a much better option than Morris in the forward half.

Ideally I would prefer to see him in the guts, inside midfielder is where his best value is imo.

Anyone would be better in the forward half than Morris.

But geez Nick has looked slow and reactive at times this year. He is all footballer though - the type you'd be better off having more of than less around the place. A trial up forward might be the tonic he needs to get his mojo back.

I have no doubt his ankle has been an issue since round 2.

I thought last week he showed signs of getting back to full fitness, and some form.

Didn't know that - but that might explain it.

Yeah you gotta watch him behind play.

Ankle has gone in just about every game.

Playing through a heap of pain.

Might well be one of those that "doesn't get any worse" but it still appears that he needs a week or two to manage it.

Hampered by injury as others have said.

The kid can play. But he should be having more stints in the centre. Look at his first year for those that have forgotten his ability.

If he has an injury then why are we playing him? It reeks of Morris last year, a bung shoulder, poor form but was picked every games. Dumb selections surely.

It's the AFL.

If blokes can't play hurt they have very short careers.

Best way to describe him is a foot solider. Without doubt in best 22 but just dont see him ever being elite and just doesnt have the tank to play in the guts full time. Never racked up big numbers in the junior leagues either. Was hoping he would take the next step this season but hasnt really improved.

Will bleed for the club and cant question his committment and toughness, but I think we all knew what we were getting when we drafted him 3 and a half years ago.

I put this on somewhere a few weeks back. Yes he has an ankle that needs rest, not an opp, he was unlikely to play against Brisbane an Drummond was going to debut, but he came good which I think says a lot about his ticker. Unlikely to play midfield this year, in his own words needs to build his tank, plus Dimma likes him at half back. IMHO when we find another class half back , nick will move to more time in the middle

some things never change another lids syndrome . Nicks good at marking far more better option in the forward line than morris IMO specially when our coach wants versatility in players but we never see it happen
