Yeah we need to build the old Steel Curtain again but it all depends on what the club's needs are. This is why I don't tangle my mind on the juniors available for the AFL draft as some on here do. Too many kids with potential to choose from, and more than one need (attack, mid, defence). Geez.....which one do you go for??

Dennard might be a bit 'spuddish' with his faults, but maybe at a higher level he could fix those a bit. I've noticed some mock drafts mentioning Joyner could be good at safety as Polamalu's too injury prone and should retire (why did we give him another 2 years??), and Gay's getting on a bit too. As I said too many kids to choose. At least they take 3 days compared to our 1 day, as it gives them more time to assess the remainders.

bring back "the bus"!

Peezy's back (as a coach) so why not the bus too, get back to smash mouth football, not this 'passing league' touch the receiver and get flagged crap

Heh heh....da man in da bus was Jeroooooome!! Great player.

Maybe he hinted the recruiters in picking the DE Stephon Tuitt (I hope those crazy Yanks pronounce this surname well ;D) from Jeroooooome's old school at Notre Dame. Never saw much of this boy as not many games from the Fighting Irish were televised last year, but he looks like the player with power and agility that we need.

Re: NFL 2012-13

2014 NCAA football starts today with two games on ESPN:

- Boise State Broncos v Ole Miss Rebels on Channel 508
- Texas A&M Aggies at South Carolina Gamecocks on Channel 509

No more Johnny Football for the Aggies but leading the Gamecocks in the 2nd quarter.

Will Gleeson (of Viewbank/Ivanhoe) is the punter for Ole Miss and just kicked a 36 yard punt (AFL style ;D) for them now.

It's great to see the Aussie kids in this. Just wish they weren't all punters.

NFL starts tomorrow morning: Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks starting at 10:30am on ESPN.

Missou going alright this season. Go Tigers!

Yep. A late comeback win against the Gamecocks last week just made them win by 1 point, and now just in the Top 25. A win against the Georgia Bulldogs next week will give them a rise. There's been a few upsets this week.

Bloody pathetic Steelers. Lost to that dud Brown bags team....geez... it's time for Tomlin to go and for Big Ben to retire. Massive overhaul is needed here. Looks like defence has been stuck in their heads for so long as they can't even score TDs anymore....

As for the Superbowl champions in Seattle, it looks like they're still on a hangover at 3-2 so far this season.

Steelers worst season since the one before Big Ben was drafted. 2003, if I remember correctly.

Become a very undisciplined team the last 2 or 3 seasons. That and their defense has had a fair bit of turnover.

Losing at home to Tampa Bay who are now 1-5 (that 1 win at Pittsburgh) finally cut the cord with supporters Phanto.

We lost to the Browns away but barely beat them at home in the first game. We just don't know how to rush and score anymore.

Brad Wing from Melbourne throws a 2 point touchdown for the Steelers after a dummy 1 point conversion attempt. Heh heh what a classic!

We're killing those Baltimore Crappens. ;D

I'm not a New England fan but gee I like watching them especially Bronkowski who is an offensive bull. Right now Aaron Rogers has got to leading the MVP of the league, his passing is unbelievable.
My Saints are horrible right now after 2 choke losses they've lost their way

I'd say Andrew Luck of the Colts would be leading that race by now.

Same with my Steelers. Win against the in-form teams and lose against the lowly ones. Our 7-4 could've been 9-1 if we didn't lose to Tampa Bay and NY Jets.

Anyway, we meet next week mainlandy. ;D

Luck, whilst potentially one of the best ever, is probably number 5 or 6 in quarterbacks at this point of the year IMO. Rodgers/Manning/Brady/Roethlisberger and arguably Brees all better performed. Romo's in the argument too.

I love watching Luck, and he's the one I'd pick if I had a choice for the next 10 years as he's such a competitor and fearless down the stretch but he's not even the best performed quarterback this year IMO.

Peyton's getting old and Eli's a bit on the over-rated side I must say. Romo...meh.

Who's your NFL team JAM?

Geez....Ole Miss got shut out by Arkansas 30-0......dropping down the ranks now.

Steelers have improved dramatically over the last 5 weeks.

Is it genuine improvement or a plastering over of cracks?

It's plastering over of cracks, but admittedly, our defence is young and inexperienced due to an undermanned team. We'll get 4-5 back from next week (Polamalu, Ike Taylor) who are getting on a bit.

I don't like Tomlin's coaching and even Big Ben's getting on with age.
