New clash jumper - reversed strip

The club gets fined $50,000.00. I say cop the fine and represent the Tigers in our traditional top. I am with KB tell them to GET STUFFED!
I don't disagree but I think the AFL would get us back in other ways down the track

Does anyone know what will happen to RFC if they dont follow the "legislated" decree from the Spanish inquisition's orders?

It's not going to happen. SO don't worry about it. Tigers have already said they accept the verdict. I personally don't see the clash in jumpers but I also don't know why it's such a big issue. 37 years since a grand final and people are fuming over a jumper shade?

True point but why show how scared we are of the afl. Look at Syd getting buddy. Efc during saga. Refused to yield. Yet a direct attack on our tradition of our club we fold and yield without a whimper. F me !

And maybe the club in their polite manner can say there is no ill feeling towards the afl and understand their decision. We as a club hopes the AFL respects our decision to pay the fine as we do what is right by our club and its traditions. We find on the biggest day of the year to wear the clash strip is an errosion of our traditions. We respectfully disagree there is a clash and hasnt been for years between the 2 clubs.

Publicise it via the media.

Not, "nothing we can do. Its out of our hands" and pretend they need to confirm and move on. Just my view. Its BS and weak.

Yep fuming and each to their own what they believe in.

It's a joke, biggest game of the year and we are not allowed to wear our tradition uniform, it's like the Aussie's having to wear a british uniform to fight at Gallipoli, same side but not the real uniform

good one... comparing a sports uniform to war.

I’m resigned to the fact that we’ll most likely wear our clash jumper so I’m going to embrace it and love it.

hey, for once we agree. we should embrace it by wearing yellow to the game and turning the MCG and PRO into a sea of yellow. infact, I am seriously considering buying the clash guernsey to wear at the game. Does anyone know if the Tigerland Superstore will be open before the parade on Friday?

Is it? $880000. We win we get a mill. Covered.

I just can't see the reason for this, and shouldn't it be the agreement of both clubs rather than an AFL decision?? How does a colour clash (which it isn't) affect the AFL??

Nah, I'm a traditionalist. Glad it's not going to be a warm one. I'm going to be there in my early 80s woolen long sleeve skinny fit no.17, complete with VFL and Esso sponsors badge.

Yellow and dark blue? ;D

Well it was a hand me down from my father. Not sure how often it's been washed, because it's kept it's colour pretty well (so probably hasn't been washed that often, come to think of it.... ;D).

But it has that great nostalgic feel of when putting on your footy jumper made you itchy.

My Rainesy jumper with that thin sash became to fluffy in the early 90s and it disappeared somewhere....over-washed by my pedantic mother.

What's with that photo pose I just saw on the news and AFL website??

Are we clashing with the dumpires......wearing fluoro green/yellow and black??

Or maybe the afl thought it was best the umps wear black with yellow. And that is the true clash and forced us to the crappy jumper..

The players will don the traditional jumper prior to going up onto the dais to receive their premiership medals.

If the AFL was seriously worried about a clash, then this should be the combination.

I don't understand, is the Richmond jumper on the left or on the right?

Will the runners and water boys be wearing their clash jumpers too?

Where did you hear this Bull? Peggy just about confirmed it. It would be better but still seems quite silly to change jumpers just for that.

100 year old traditional jumper forced by AFL to change that some "person" (hoping auto delete accepts that) that suddenly doesnt like it with a pretend clash issue. We rolled over. That's the least these weak temp custodians can organise to show some respect back imo.
