New Clash Jumper revealed..

wow, that hawthorn brown has got incredibly dark... why bother? there is no way you can make brown and gold stripes look good, doesn't matter how much you try to manipulate it.

going back to west coast, is anyone able to explain to me (perhaps one of our Perth based PREnders) why they went from royal blue to navy blue? the royal blue with gold 'wings' jumper was just about the best guernsey going around IMO.

We play in our clash jumper for the first time this weekend against Port.

This reminds me ... some time ago someone was asking here about yellow shorts.
I knew that I'd seen some video of the RFC in one of the few games where we had worn them in 1975 somewhere on youtube but at the time I couldn't find it.

I since have. In the first minute of the Phil Carman Open Mike episode there is a few short seconds there. Absolutely awful.

Don't get me wrong, I love the reverse strip though.

And the Phil Carman interview is good viewing. Sheahan can be a pain but I reckon Open Mike is the best footy show on telly. Could have done without John Elliott though.

Yellow shorts were awful with the traditional jumper. Might look better with the reverse strip though.

I actually think black shorts with the reverse strip would look great. Better than white which doesn't look great with yellow

Black shorts may?? look o.k. but the yella shorts are definitely putrid. I'll cop the white ones for now thanks.

Ya play away ya wear white shorts!
Used to be the case - but we wore black down in Hobart a couple of weeks ago.
So presumably they vary that old convention if the combinations work better the other way around.

Black would look best.

Yes, that looks great but defeats the purpose of the clash jumper being light, for matches against teams with dark gear.

I agree about the black shorts looking better. The yellow ones look like an extension of the jumper. Does the colour of the shorts even matter if the teams are wearing a clash jumper? Wasn't that the entire point of clash jumpers, because teams could no longer be told apart because one wore black shorts and one wore white shorts? You know in the old days when we didn't have jumper clashes.
