Neil Craig

Craig would be an awesome get. He is just the sort of opportunity that Richmond never take.

For once could we act like a proffesional operation who has moved into the 21st century and land him?

You can only hope. This would be the off ground bolster that would show us punters that this club is determined to make waves and thrust itself back to play with the big boys.

Get it down Benny G.

It also emerged yesterday that Sanderson's predecessor, Neil Craig, has been offered a lucrative role at West Coast along with offers from Melbourne and Richmond.

Melbourne appears in the box seat to win Craig's services, but the Adelaide coaching veteran has not yet reached a final decision although he has indicated to his former club that his preference is to move to Melbourne - the city. The Demons' offer is a senior director of coaching role that would see Craig act as a mentor to Mark Neeld and his team as well as play a role in the physical conditioning department.

Norwood, Craigs SA Team has the same colours as the demons. Melbourne is a mess offfield still be surprised to see him go there.

Good luck to him. If he prefers a low stress club like MFC then good luck to him.

We need someone who can handle and thrive in the RFC cauldron.

Wouldn't read too much into that article, all the papers have been off the mark in every new development this season.
"Cameron hot favorite at doggies"
"Burns hot favorite at Adelaide"
"Lyon if he leaves he will end up at Melbourne"
"Richmond to go back to back" ;D

This year has been a very poor year for the journo's in the AFL.
No Crtuchy or Parrott breaking real stories!
Clubs are more underground in there decision making and good on them.

If N.Craig goes to Melbourne, it will prove to me how lucky we are not to have got him.

Why would you choose to go to a club that has a *smile* like Connoly involved, a C.E.O that is supposedly despised by the players, a club that needs to get a past great that wont give anymore time than a few weeks to help in major decisions compared to a club that is sailing along smoothly with a group of commited youngsters.

For the first time in a long time, we appear to be an attractive place to be and if he chooses not to be there, it will prove to me that he is not the best decision maker.

In saying that I can understand why he might choose West Coke...

Would be a great pick up like many have said, really rate him as a player developer and obviously sports science is his background. Crows players always develop well physically and IMO he is a major reason for that.

Think the rush for exclusives in a more crowded media market has leant to some jounos burning their sources. Doubt anyone actually takes Caro's calls anymore despite her insistance on claiming to have inside stuff.

Lots of clubs realise that the old trade-off of media coverage in exchange for media access does not apply anymore. The Crows announced their coach on their own website. With all the social media clubs can cut out the middle man; and unlike in the old days where the real media would throw a temper tanty these days the media will cover the story anyway.

And on Neil Craig, you'd guess that the journos don't know what he is doing because he is the kind of bloke who doesn't talk to them; so they are guessing.

Expect him at a club that hasn't been mentioned :p

Sorry i didnt mean it that way. Just saying the way the media are guessing he could end up anywhere. No inside info. Apologies for way i worded it.

Dave Missen has been appointed high performance manager at Melbourne FC, this is a fair indication that Neil Craig is'nt going there, in that role at least. So just maybe Neil has made a decision on his future.

Craig has been offered director of coaching at MFC.

Geez he takes a while to make his mind up. I would have hated to see a selection meeting at the Crows.

"Neil there's our offer. Please take your time, talk it over with your family, the Lions, the Demons, the Crows, West Coast, ASIO and get back to us sometime before Christmas"

His decision would have been delayed by the coaching jobs being available.
