Neil Craig

is craig the only one we have lined up...its all about back up plans
something we are doing right this time

Cameron Schwab was just asked about Craig on SEN and avoided the question in a way that suggests he won't be at Melbourne.

Well we are still a good chance to get him then.

Craig would be nuts to sign up with us without exploring all the new roles at all the clubs looking for coaches.

We shouldn't be expecting an answer until all clubs have their coaches and the finals are over.

Avoided the question not once, but twice
Good pickup by Yobbo to ask him again

shake the tree hard enough and see who falls out...

more to come perhaps...with all these chess board moves
perhaps NC might just end up coaching somewhere

I believe he is sounding out his chances with the StKilda job.

Agree Joey - StKilda looks an Ok fit for him to me.

9 news ran with the story that they expect Craig to sign up with the Demons next week.

Not too fussed whether we get Craig or not. While he was apparently highly regarded elsewhere in the industry, consensus in Adelaide was that he stifled players' creativity and that life under him became a grind, hence the "Crowbots" moniker.

The St Kilda job will be a career killer - no upside

Any chance the saints do what they did years ago??

Give Timmy Watson a crack at the gig until they find a real coach, you never know, Watson might even improve his win/loss percentage. :hihi

I agree. This bloke is too much a control freak and could stuff up Dimma and co. I'd rather we don't get him.

Having said that he's not going to be the head coach at RFC. As a high performance coach i think he would do wonders for our club. If it was a head coach id say steer clear.

Control freaks tend to win games and eventually premierships.... Mick Malthouse ring a bell with anyone?

Neil Craig helped get Adelaide 2 premierships when in the role he was in, yeah, nah, lets not let him anywhere near our club.... :p

True enough Feisty, a few of the boys I've spoken to at the Lions would say the same about Matthews

It's quite interesting, because I suppose what could work for one group may not work for another due to differences in personel etc. Quite a lot of variables can occur, but I for one would like to see someone of Craig's calibre at the club.
