Grant Thomas is tweeting that Craig is going to be director of football at teh Dees with Burns as coach.

God I hope not, why would he want that? A club with poor and unstable admin, little support and a poorly structured list vs a club with stable admin, lots of support and a good young list.

we interviewed him though and it will be interesting to see if the club is chasing someone else.

Reporter from Adelaide said on wed on SEN that our offer was the best he'd recieved

Rucci on SEN said he had an offer from us and from someone else I have also heard we have put forward an offer of contract and full job description.

Scott Burns is a dead set certainty for the Crows so that kills off the Burns/Craig duo at the Dees. However there is a bit of action at the minute so you can understand NC looking at all opportunities to see what the best fit for him is...hopefully he sees the Tigers as being the best fit.

I still reckon he will be at the RFC inside a few weeks.

Does Harvey come in to the frame for Melbourne I wonder?

I also wonder if the appointment of Pelchen at StKilda had any role in Lyon's decision.

Is Danny Frawley wondering if he should put his hand up for StKilda?

Friday is a day of wonder ;D

I hope you are right. Have a lot of respect for Neil Craig. He would be a fantastic acquisition.

Grant Thomas is wondering this as well.

Think Rucci has generally been pretty accurate with his gossip from SA. Would believe him before all others.
The "job description" is the main point here IMO.
If the job was merely a Senior Assistant (Brisbane) helping an inexperienced coach then I don't think it's very attractive, since it has friction built in.
High Performance Manager would be much more attractive IMO where Craig (or whoever) has the opportunity to largely run his own section of the Footy Dept.
It also coincidentally to a large extent avoids the misalignment of coaching contracts we have seen with Campbell.

I'd say it played out as a negaitve on Lyon's list of pluses versus minuses.

Reckon the Dees need a coach with a hard edge to him. Too many powder puffs at that club that do as they please.

Can Neeld be that coach? Not so sure.
