Hopefully its Campbo that gets the flick and is replaced by Cousins as midfield coach

Think Cuz will be a development coach. Lade is midfield/ruck coach. Hoping he goes to just ruck and Cuz could do midfield/stoppages or maybe Nick Stevens becomes full-time?

Cambo is opposition analyst.

Next year could see:
Head Coach: Damien Hardwick
High Performance Manager: Neil Craig
Defensive Coach: Justin Leppitsch
Stoppage/Ruck Coach: Brendon Lade
Offensive Coach: Danny Daly
Opposition Analyst: Wayne Campbell
Development Coaches: Tim Clarke, Dave Newett, Ben Cousins, Brad Miller/Nick Stevens

Thats a fair increase in coaching staff over what we have had in the past.

This can't be true!

This is the Richmond football club FFS!

Are we actually going places?

I am not used to quality people at our club, it's been a long 29 years!

Almost have as many coaches as players.

Soon our players will have their own private coach :hihi

We couldn't do much better to be fair.

He is an elite Sports Science coach. To get him would raise us to the level we need to be. He would weed out the crap Hornsby does.

He is vital.

I agree bar the Hornsby bit. I think Hornsby's heading in the right direction in line with the club and would be valuable to Craigy if we could keep him.

Also think that Craigy would have to agree to hold off on any opinions outside of fitness and conditioning unless they were asked of him.

really hope we get craig into our system.
the knowledge/experience he would bring to our behind the scenes areas such as fitness, body development, structures (eg the press as others have said) woul improve us dramatically i reckon.
we need stronger bodies, better physiques (eg dangerfield who has that typical adelaide frame, very strong thru the shoulders back, upper body like the goodwins thompsons etc), better defensive structures, more team disciplined. all these thing graig has been involved with developing into adelaide.

Agree. Adelaide have always been twice our size.

I don't reckon any of us have the first clue whether Craig is a good fit for this role at RFC. He did some good work at Adelaide but they were deplorable in the end - but he was in a different role then.

I hope he's the right man and not just tacking on a name to the role for the sake of it. (eg, an Allan Jeans appointment).

Reckon we'll just have to have faith in the club on that. Fair enough really. Proof will be in the pudding.

One thing I always admired about Craig was his "no excuses" mantra in pressers. He never liked the "well, we were away", "we had lots of injuries", "we're still young and developing" cop-outs. I think this attitude will be very important to have in our players as we go from kids with excuses to contenders without.

I've always admired Craig in the way he comports himself.

He has been succesful as a fitness adviser and as a coach (although no ultimate success).

I think he is the perfect fit. He adds value to our fitness and conditioning team and he can provide input and mentoring into our young coaching team.

Its actually the right job for Craig and Craig is the right man for Tiges. Hope it eventuates.

Sorry lamby, what does comport mean?

Don't like the guy and don't rate him.

Craig lives in the world of failed football theories and failed fitness regimes that don't translate to Australian Rules Football.

Not needed at Richmond. Would just muddy the waters down at Richmond and add nothing to our progression OR direction.

NEXT....

My son and I met Neil Craig at Peter Smith's Tennis Training centre in Adelaide - Peter, trained Lleyton Hewitt - They could not speak highly enough of Neil Craig....for what that is worth...

Comport to bear or conduct (oneself); behave: He comported himself with dignity.

or the more common ComPort as in serial port
:cutelaugh :cutelaugh

Or a large English glass dish of the 18th century used for holding fruit or candy and having a wide, shallow top supported by heavy stem and foot;

Yep, the last one ;D

From what I have been told this and Maric are a done deal. Very good source.

Why ? cambo is very highly rated by many including Ben Cousins who gave him a great wrap in his book .

I'd be very surprised if Cambo is going anywhere

If Campbell is so highly rated why was he downgraded in his coaching role? I dunno about anyone else but when quizzed about his new role in those preview videos he doesn't seem too happy. Another demotion would effectively see him off the RFC books.

It was put to me that it is about rounding out his coaching creds, not necessarily a demotion as such

Of course we do. We are PRE-posters.
I stand corrected, Goodie. Almost forgot the need for a completely irrational Nostradamus style approach in my posting! ;)
