Nathan (Axel) Foley [MERGED]

damn, was really hoping he would be back this week.
we are definately going to miss his extraction as he is a genuine ball getter.
all we really have around the packs are Tucky and Cotch otherwise its slim pickings in the in and under brigade!

News isn't sounding real good for Nathan. Without going into specific details he's likely to require surgery and probably an extended recovery period. Will be interesting to see if it's done soon or at season's end. I hope he comes good and gets back out there for us asap. A couple of posters have said Craig Cameron has said Nathan will be right to play next week. I hope he's right.

Craig Cameron said he would be right to go next week at the SA supporters event before the game.

Good news if that proves to be the case MB. Given the development with his injury it will be very interesting to see if that eventuates and if Nathan can get through the rest of the season without the need for any drastic action. Fingers crossed for sure.

If true, we can't make finals. He is so important and his injury has really exposed our lack of midfield depth

Surgery ASAP, return the team to development mode and go all out next year!

Big test for the RFC. Historically the club has not managed this type of scenario well.

If he needs surgery, get him in early so he can have a full pre-season.

But this has to play into the new contract. Needs to be heavily weighted for games played.

If he's struggling as badly as Rosy said and needs more surgery plus the rest of the season off then time for the RFC to seriously think about his future. If true, I'm not saying don't sign him up but I'd be floating his name over the trade table to see what offers we could get. 27 going into next year, injury prone and hasn't been reliable. He's so important to us but it's getting serious now.

Let's hope she's wrong though.

May have been mentioned , but anyone know if Axel will be back against Melbourne this week ?

We have really missed his in & under plus dash.

This is the worst news I have heard all season. I really hope your mail is wrong. :-\

Pre match fears were realised yesterday when we were smashed at the clearances.
If Axe is done, we're going to struggle from here on to get the job done.
Massive out.

Exactly. So where the hell was Conca? ???

Not sure what's happening but he would have been rested against the Giants anyway. Hopefully Axel is back this weekend!

Interesting one this. For those that have had a bruised heel, one when I played footy and one when I didn't, will know that they take an eternity to get over. If that's all Axel has then even that isn't good. If it is the injury Rosy has reported, let's send him in for the surgery right now.

Any word on him.
Is he playing tho week?

The way our week has been going, we will find out tomorrow that he is out for the rest of the year.

Yeah, funny how footy news goes, Hawks have had seven sign in seven days, the RFC has injury after injury, a sacking, a suspension... What next, dare I ask.

Richo comes out of the closet.

I kid.

Heaven forbid.

Actually I've heard something along those lines. I can't confirm it 100%.

I do know that the person he is linked to comes from Essendon who is definitely gay.
