Nathan (Axel) Foley [MERGED]

Re: Nathan Foley has the heart of a lion.

Nathan Foley has the heart of a lion.....

Too bad he kicks like a 12 year old....... :-X

Re: Nathan Foley has the heart of a lion.

hes too good to be at richmond we will trade foley at the end of the year

Re: Nathan Foley has the heart of a lion.

His kicking is nowhere near as bad as tivendales, who again hurt us badly today. Very harsh comment there tigerbob. Without foley today we would have copped another 100 pointer. Far better than some of our senior players.

your an idiot

Re: Nathan Foley has the heart of a lion.

Who would people prefer?

Foley or Aaron Davey?

Reason being is that both where picked up from the 2004 rookie draft.

Davey pick 3
Foley pick 4

At this point I'd take Foley.

Foley has been awesome, non-stop, all day.

We have a really remarkable player here.

Funny how our only truly good player came through the rookie list. Well ahead of all our high draft picks.

Draft Fortunato I say!!!!

I think Terry Wallace has said that it may be how you draft people how they perform for you, saying that Foley had it tough to get in the side and he plays his guts out every week because he knows he may lose his position (I don't reckon Foley would lose his spot, who could fill it?) and appreciates it whereas an early round draft pick might just expect to get a game.

Something like that anyway.

Re: Nathan Foley has the heart of a lion.

Some of the senior players should look at this guy and feel ashamed of their pathetic efforts

For us i would take Foley but if it was a team like Hawthorn, West Coast or anyone with alot of inside midfielders then i would take Davey.

Re: Nathan Foley has the heart of a lion.

Foley's kicking isn't penetrating but neat enough over short distances, like Robert Harvey. No need to tear him down when he's doing everything he can.

Re: Nathan Foley has the heart of a lion.

Goes hard and lifts his intensity at crucial stages of the game. Inspiring in a very weak unit.

He's also improved his defensive running and concentration. His disposal by foot is more reliable and his handball is often very good.

Has ticker and he keeps improving.

Exactly.

Re: Nathan Foley has the heart of a lion.

anyone bagging axel's kicking is scraping the bottom of the full barrel

terrible posting

Re: Nathan Foley has the heart of a lion.

There is nothing wrong with Foley's kicking. He uses it fine, i bet his kicking would be about 85-90% effective

Summed it up nicely Dyer. They can't all kick like Judd. In today's game it's becoming more and more important to be able to win clearances and without this bloke we'd be absolutely screwed. If Cogs ever makes it back to his 2003/5 form they'll make an excellent combo.

All of you saying he should leave because he's too good for Richmond are melodramatic fools.
