Any news on how Nathan is going in his recovery from injury?

Deserves some luck, really hoping he can get back into the senior side by the end of the season.
It's all I would say.
Never really saw the best of him.

at Best, if Everything goes his way, I would delist and rookie him., if he can get through most of the pre season might be worth a punt. An upgrade on Thomas anyway if he stays fit.

No, time is well and truly up, time to look forward.

As much admired as he is, injuries have finished him. Highly unlikely to get back the speed he once had.
Bloody wrong sometimes isn't it. Builds his career to around AA level n then the injuries nail his arse to the wall. Not sure of his contract status, but unfortunately, must surely be on shaky ground if he can't get up n have some impact by seasons end.
Axle, Knights, Newy, must all be looking fairly rubbery by the end of this year, plus a couple of other moderate performers.

Axel,Knights an Pettered will be all very lucky to be offered a rookie spot with there history of injuries, even if we do make finals there is going to be a fair clean and out.

And if all get delisted that will open up even more cap space.

Interesting times.

Yep be intresting too see if we land Leuenberger of Kreuzer as I'd think Hammertime would be on similar coin in his final year

Pity it's reported as being a fairly shallow draft year at seasons end.
Unless we have some sneaky hideaway talent somewhere to pick up, there may be slim pickings in a year when we could probably move out some older n injury affected players n ramp up more youngsters for gen next.

Depending on how Knights goes when he is back from injury. Last week it was listed as a 1 week injury so he could potentially be playing VFL next week. If he can get back and play for the rest of the year in either the VFL or the AFL then I think he's got a chance of making the rookie list and as a long shot getting a cheap contract extension for 1 year.

With Axel and Petterd both being listed as indefinate injuries then they both probably have their careers at Richmond hanging on a very thin thread.

Knights should retire. Same with Foley, but I could see him being rookied in 2016. Petterd's flexibility means he should be retained imo.

Pets only as a rookie. Foley is gone. Knights is the classy one of the trio. He will be back on-field soon. What happens for the rest of the year determines his fate.

Should just strike a line through Foley, Petterd, Knights, Thomas easily.

It was inevitable but that sucks. Not sure we seen a player work so hard from the rookie list to end up playing for the Big V.

Who knows what his career would have been like if Wallet didn't force him back onto the ground while he was still injured.

Super stiff. Nothing that happened to him was due to lack of effort or professionalism.

Total pro who was dedicated to the jumper.

Cogs, Nathan Brown & Nathan Foley. The last ten years the injury gods have not been kind to us.

Congratulations Axel for giving it everything. I have been honoured to watch you play for the Tigers. Best wishes for your future.

Unlucky but no surprise. Too many leg injuries ruined his last 3-4 years. Was at his peek in 2008 when he played for the BIG V - Victoria vs. The Dream Team (glorified state of origin game) picking up 21 disposals and a goal, no one was tagging so lots of classic Foley bursts out of the middle. Miles and Lambert timely covers but pre injury, he was quite a zippy player with ball in hand.

Thanks for the Service Axel. You gave it your all :clap
