What are the rules for the LTI list and the 8 weeks? Does he have to miss 8 matches if we promote a rookie in his place, or does he only have to miss 8 weeks from today?

If it's a 6-7 week foot injury, I'd rather put him on the LTI list for 8 weeks and have the choice between Lambert, Arnot, and even Thomas as inside mid options in his absence.

Last year we failed to do this with Ivan's 6-7 week injury off memory, and we paid the price with Miles.

You'll have to seek clarification with Essendon on that one.

Bugger! I'm a big Foley fan - even though I now believe he is firmly entrenched in our second tier of mids. Lambert has to come onto the list as a replacement surely.

Yes we have to have a look at Lambert. Foley is a loss, but to be realistic his body won't allow him to play a full season.

Just put him on the LTIL. Honestly it gets to a point where you just have to say enough with some players. I like him but he can't get out on the park enough to warrant keeping him on the list. Would need a Lazarus recovery to be on the list next year unless his contract prevented it. Not sure of where that is at.

Still have vivid memories of him bursting out of the middle and dobbin goals from the paint on 50. Was against the odds when we got him back. Never really looked anywhere near himself since. This is not good!.

Really feel for ole weeble and for us. At his best he was a very good footballer!

Bad luck for Nath, but it's only plantar.

No real structural issues at all. What I assume they've done is release the tendon where its getting inflamed.

Robert Harvey and Josh kennedy decided to "self operate" by jumping off tables to snap the ligament.

I've had plantar fasciatis, painful but its a case of management. Doesn't affect speed strength of manouverability if the pain is managed.

The op ould actually be a big help to Nath if he'd been playing with this pain for a while.

Unfortunately Foley is done. Another Coughlan. Time to look for a replacement. Can't get a full year and he's at the end of his career. We are not a point that allows us to carry 3-4 injured players hoping they recover. Foley and Knights if he breaks down again should be shown the door.

It's unfortunate for Nathan but he just can't seem to string long patches together. I think we now have too many options that can replace him. It will be hard for him to fight back into the team.

Might be a decent sub. Come on and use his speed to blow away the opposition. Then he'll knock back our contract extension for a year and run off somewhere else for a 3 year contract

he is cooked And behind lambert so this is our trick to LTIL him and elevate lambert
