Nathan (Axel) Foley [MERGED]

Nathan mightn't have the high stats of some but his possessions count. Had the most inside 50s, taking the game on rather than dinky little touches on the half back line. Wish they all had his determination and attitude. Loved it when he went for a run and bounce. Keep on improving Nathan. Great to have you back out there.

Agree. He looks like he trying his guts out,

Absolutely.
Despite a modest stat count, he was one of our most effective because he ignored the gameplan

It was his best game in a long time.

Engine room during the first half and tried his guts out :clap................. unlike several others ::)

Had a good 2 or 3 game patch in the last month. We've been fooled by those before.

Still not entirely sure I want him on the list next year. Along with a few others, should've been moved on at the end of 2013.

Lost a couple of yards of pace but still has it. I'd like to see him reinvent himself as an in and under. he's got the grit for it and could surprise many.

No questioning his commitment to the task.

I'd agree if you said Newman and King, but Foley has earned another chance. He's apparently contracted for next season in any case.

Did not hurt the opposition at all last night.

Looks to be on the improve with his confidence in his body, if our " A grade " midfield can deliver Axe will have a valuable role, no doubt he deserves a bit of good fortune on the footy field

And getting all the better for a run in the 1sts. Never will be as fast as he once was but the footballing brain is working well.

Thought that Foley has played really well the last couple of weeks, plus the GWS game, but everyone played well that day.
Hope his form continues.

Another workmanlike game by Axel today. Tackles hard, uses the ball OK and his run is improving every week. Just needs to clean up on the wayward passing but overall I am pleased with the way he is progressing after the horror injuries. Doubtful if he will regain the game changing skills of a few years ago but still a valuable contributor

I know I am biased but nobody else will say it so Axel had another great game today. Good stats including 10 tackles shows what a valuable player he is when the going gets tough. May have lost a little speed but makes up in hard work. The fourth quarter he was in everything. Looking forward to his well earned 150th game in Tigers colours

Agreed, finally looks to have the fitness and confidence in his body to crack in all game.

Should never have been dropped for the final last year, he is a tackling machine and his hand balling is very good as well as his blocking and shepherding.
