Nankervis !!

At least one umpire should have seen he was still being held long after he got rid of the ball so he should have got a free kick. We understand his frustration and why he reacted so he has learnt the hard way he has to hit lower to the tackler's ribs if it happens again! The week's rest will do him good and force the selection of another ruckman this week. We should never go into a game expecting Grigg to be our second ruck but I will say this....we won a lot of clearances late in that 1st qtr when we had Grigg around the ball as a ruck/extra mid.
Maric to come in even though he can't chase and perhaps give Chol a game even though he's not ready. Would they consider the Soldo/Maric combo?
Makes no difference, we won't beat the doggies.

I'd like to see an Ivan / Ivan double. Both can rest forward, and both can ruck

I rather like that idea. Nanks takes the week for his hit and rests up and the two Ivans work in tandem

With young Ivan giving old Ivan a piggy-back to the contest when the pace comes on?

Ah, are we focusing on team balance or being misguided?

Oops, i had not considered!

Is Round 7, the Multi Cutural round? Then go straight ahead with that ruck combo. It's sure to be a winner and meet all the PC agenda.

It is OK to smash the elbow into a guy on the ground and get a fine. It is OK to be Fyfe and get a fine but if you are unlucky enough to be a Tiger...two weeks!!

Same, Whilst not ideal this is where Nank has not been used to advantage, having a OK 2ns ruck allowing Nank to play deep. He is so stuffed he needs to rest on the bench and has no legs to play a few min deep in the pocket.

Will be sorely missed.

Grigg will have his work cut out for him in the ruck this week.

Time we tested a back up for Nank - time to test the progress of little Maric

I don't think Bulldogs is the right game to test him out. Ivan has slowed but still has experience and he'd be my first choice. Essential that we put on a good showing this week after Adelaide debacle.

good luck grigga

Tell me how this works.

Fyfe is charged with striking as is Nankervis. Both are listed as careless and low contact. Fyfe gets yet another $1000 fine and Nanks, never been up before cops 2 weeks downgraded to 1. Why is it so??

I think Nank was graded as medium... i'll have to check though.

Nankervis was graded as medium impact i think.

Nankervis has been great for us so far year, but one area he will need to look at is the impact of his opponent. i reckon 4 out of the 6 games the opposition ruckman has been in the best 10 on the ground. obviously he is young and learning, so he gets some slack but it is something he will need to improve.
