lol at Hawkins getting nothing for using a blokes head to plough the ground. Of course he's gonna get a nothing to see here. They don't even try to hide the corruption.

Remember when the AFL cracked down on “dangerous tackles” when the players tackled weren’t even hurt?

Come on, that was at least, or maybe close to, a month ago. Time has passed, things have changed.

Anyway, those players weren't from Geelong, who seem to run the AFL.

The bias is blatant and consistent towards Geelong players. Hawkins has “clumsily “ injured multipl players this year alone pushes into oncoming traffic, elbows, dangerous tackles etc. Dangerfield and Selwood head high hits And there is absolutely nothing. Nada. Zilch. On the reverse of that look at the consistent fines and suspensions our players have been copping. It’s absolutely breathtaking. How do we change this?

it has been blatant for awhile that Geelong have Carte Blanche, and they've always been clumsy masters of disguising hits.

Hawkins did it after the tackle, looked at the guy with faux concern. And we've seen him do that before.

Well, SHocking oversees what happens here...so...of course Cats are protected and of course the aim is for them to win.
He is a 199 game player at Cats and next CEO. He would be negligent not to be biased for them.

Independence is what the AFL sorely lack.
After all this is a quirky game played only on a distant island, far from the real world and with zero accountability.
Really, why do we expect anything better?

I’m sick of the AFL and their biases. If Hawkins’ tackle isn’t 10 x worse than Picketts ridiculous suspension, I’ll go he. Surely the burden of care is on the tackler. I know it wasn’t a sling tackle, but Hawkins pinned both arms and rode him into the turf head first.
Im sick of the umpire bias against us.
I’m sick of everything AFL at the moment and am seriously considering relinquishing my AFL membership. What other sporting body changes rules to stop the dominance of one team, and are happy to brag about it. What a mockery the AFL have made of a once great game.

Spot on. The fact the media has never addressed the fact the AFL went out of its way to change the rules to stop our success sickens me.

If you hit a player above the shoulders during play, even f it’s accidentally, it’s a free kick.

If you tackled a player into the ground and drive his head the ground (and that player leave the field injured) and it’s accidentally, shouldn’t it be a suspension/fine?

If you swing your elbow and hit a player in the cheekbone/eye and that player (eg Steven May misses games through injury) shouldn’t it be a suspension or fine?

That Hawkins tackle is text book 2 weeks Maybe 3.
This is sooo blatantly clear that between Brad Scott who works in the AFL and Hocking they have steered Geelong to the ultimate success.
*The rule changes.
*The last 3 games in a row at shithole .
*The constant getting off suspensions.
* umpiring
Both Selwood and Hawkins should've missed weeks.

The Media are tooo scared to call it out the AFL. Because unemployment beckons if they do.

If BigV Ko'd Dangerfield in the GF, the media would've lost there nut.
Even on the weekend, he actually hits the Stkilda player in the head and dives back like someone popped him from the 2nd level of the Reg Hickey stand.
He is such a dud of a bloke

Exactly, isn't this what the Careless grading is for?

The AFL has been architecting a Geelong premiership for years now - the plan is coming together.

Just shows how incompetent they are, has taken 10 years and still no flag.

I'm not convinced that the AFL consciously goes out to favour Geelong, but the number of Geelong people involved at various levels of the AFL and what their players get away with certainly leaves the AFL open to just this sort of accusation. Ablett Jr a couple of years ago, Danger, Selwood, Hawkins - they just seem to get away with so much more than players from other teams do.

Now watch Storm. X1 ref. No nonsense. Everyone understands. No primadonnas.
My uncle in NSW when he was alive told me how rugby was very good but not appreciated in Vic. He was right.
AFL is an example of how pathetic and compromised life in Melbourne has become.
I'll have a double latte with soy milk, no nuts because I am allergic, vegan burger, kale, sushi ,no vax, no sex, no men, no coal, no power, no petrol, no humour, don't touch me, I only drink bottled water in plastic containers from Indonesia made by child labour and I don't do anything you tell me to do.

PS...I really really want the animals to inherit the Earth from these shitty humans....soon.
nice rant! irrelevant nonsense but nice.

Yep, just felt like saying how stupid things in Melbourne can be and the flow on effect to behaviour seen in bodies like AFL.
Sydney has its faults, no doubt, but both Storm and the no nonsense approach by NRL are refreshing .
The comparison is stark.

Re animals inheriting the Earth....how much more lovely would this planet be without humans.
We are the most murderous, destructive, cruel and selfish species there is.
All the creatures on this planet would love to be rid of us. Just saying.

Where does one find the record of players suspended/reported? Pussy supporters keep claiming they’re the most suspended club in the AFL (with no proof).

pretty much all decisions can be justified- except Selwood getting off last week- he tried to crunch the guys head.
but compare Hawkins to Bolton. Hawkins gets off, Bolton doesnt.
Dangerfield in the GF, to Greene. one gets off one doesnt.

the list could go on and on. the "luck" just always seems to go their way.
