I mentioned this on another thread as well. Kevin Sheehan was on 3AW tonight and said that Morabito will be similar to Adam Goodes and has tested as having the biggest hand span out of all the draftees. He will be a massive unit once he grows fully into his body. Not that he isnt a good size now 90kg 190cm.

Pfft, Sheehan.

I agree, if Trengove is on the board I would take him.

I still think that Morabito ends up a ruck rover. He reminds me of a young Adam Goodes at the same stage.

Morabito,Deledio and Cotchin are your three in the sqaure for the next ten years.

I may be reading it wrong but I don't see any 30 possession games in there.

Would you believe that I was trying to make SCOOP feel better about his mistake by making a deliberate error of confusing Morabito's jumper number with a possession statistic :theyareontome

Is hand span the beep test as the draft camp result that gets quoted ad nauseum?

SCOOP doesn't need any help in feeling better. His self congratulatory posts are enough for him.

He will test well Morabito. My hope is that the Demons fall in love with things like hand span, arm length and growth spans and take Morabito at 2, leaving us the better footballer in Trengove. :nodyes

Adam Goodes?

I'll take that.

It's a massive call ToO but Goodes is the only player I can think of in the same mould. For years we have had guys get pushed off the ball and manhandled, Morabito will be able to compete with the bodies size from Round 1. He won't have the tank to run out entire games and will get pushed off the ball because he is cannot run out games but after three seasons this bloke could be a 192cm, 96kg ruck rover with pace to burn.

Bob surely you know deep down that isnt going to happen now. A miracle would prevent Trengove from being a Melbourne player.

Please, the amount of sprays I get round here, I need to remind people I do get them right. ;D

I would take Trengove over Morabito but it won't happen. And I would not be unhappy with AM. Could be the best of the bunch of this draft class but is a pretty sure thing to be a really good AFL player.

You deserve sprays for your damn Morabito love.

I am not sold on this kid. Want to hear about how he interviews, his personality and his decision making under pressure. Everytime I see this kid, he just doesn't seem clean. Scully, Trengove, Martin are all clean. This kid, I have that bad feeling about.

Don't get me wrong, he is a talent a definite top prospect, maybe it has to do with our track record of developing these types, I dunno. Not convinced, yet.

I have only seen 'highlights' of him so I cant really comment but one thing I did notice was that his kicking style is very Leon Cameron like. Very fluent with both feet.

Just my opinion, he moves (glides) like Pendlebury from Collingwood.

Kicks it like Leon Cameron.

Watch his highlights and observe his footy nous around the congestion. Remarkable. He will often get the ball, feed it off, make a better position for himself, receive the ball back and deliver it brilliantly.

Keep the Morabito push up Scooper. Good to see him not instantly dismissed for us at 3 like he has unfairly been on here all season.

He deserves to be on every bit an even keel with very fine prospects in Trengrove & Martin ILO.

Impact on games wise He'll give those two a start next season but could round them up inside 3 years.

& if he does just look out for the next 10.

Had a look at the 'reel bobby and can see why you like him. You can see the kid has plenty of ability.
Not so sure about the Pendlebury comparison as I don't see the speed and he might find disposal a bit tougher at AFL level but still think he'll be a player.
Preferred Trengrove in that respect as I am sure most do. Plays with a bit more urgency.

Just saw the vids on him too.
I really like his pace and athleticism but disposal immediately stands out as a little shaky. Not sure I saw him hit a target cleanly but unfair to judge just from 'highlight' clips.

You mentioned Goodes as a bit of a comparison but Adam has always had a great kick on him, can you say the same for AM?
Also does Morabito have the ability to hold down a KP do you think Scoop? If he can then he could be a great get as a modern utility.
First impressions to me though he moves like S. Burgoyne without the polish.

So not sure I'd take him at three based on the few clips I saw.
Other teams can take punt on X-Factors, we need footballers and I'm not sure he's one first and foremost.

Still hope Melb select him ahead of us as they do need to inject some speed into their midfield. IIRC, Tim Harrington also stated this on TAC Future Stars. I haven't lost all hope yet that Trengove is gone.

I prefer Trengove for one main reason. He has massive leadership potential. Born leader and they don't come cheaply.

I don't really associate pace with Pendles either, he just glides around the turf, like he is floating around, I see Martin quite similar.

Martin has that uncanny ability to always find time and space for himself, never seems rushed and your right he will find disposal a bit tougher at the next level, but once he builds strenght and stamina, I expect it to improve.

Martin's footy nous is first rate. Knows where to run and when, times it perfectly, everytime. Also he is just so clean. Pure footballer.

He is no midget either. 187cm and a good chunk of a lad. Like Trengove and Scully, he's just a Footballer's footballer.

If Trengove has gone, it would take a millisecond for me to announce this guy at pick 3.

Based purely on the clips, I think I'd do the same. Trengrove also looks mighty impressive.

I know I've asked this before but any chance the Dees will spring a surprise and take a combination of Trengrove/Morrabito/Martin and Scully falls to 3 or is he a lock?
