This frenzy of changes can only mean one thing.

The senior AFL exec bonus are tied directly to the size of the media rights. The broadcasters have let the AFL know that the way things are going, they should expect the next rights deal to be significantly less.

Also there is no rule that says you cannot have a look at your opponents position prior to ball arriving, as long as you contest the ball fairly when it arrives

Melbourne tanking denials and subsequent slap ove rather wrist when evidence emerged

Looking after his mates involved in office scandals until the Chairman intervened. Then threw them under the bus

Needs to be moved on at the end of the year and replaced with Benny after we go back to back

Deliberate out of bounds is a great rule. Before they enforced it properly, the game (Swans Style) was painful.
Protected Zone is a good rule, it got to a point where a free kick was a disadvantage. Nominated rucks - yeah, that one sucks, and as a consequence will be gone next year.

There's a posse of real footy lovers with great experience trying to do the right thing by the game. I don't really understand all the panic and vitriol... It could be just the thing the game needs to make it better, and it honestly doesn't hurt to give it a try.
