With the shortened season the injured players, (plus Sheda), haven't got as much time as the players who returned from injury last year.
Recent occurrences aren't helpful, but i'm sure Dimma has another outstanding theme for this season. We've got the best rehab and conditioning staff in the business, in them and Dimma I trust.

AFL site reporting that Brisbane's Harris Andrews out till 2nd or 3rd week of finals. Massive blow to them.

Will finals matches be of reduced quarters?

Imo we're in the box seat here.

If it remains the same then we will cope as we have shown but if it changes back to longer quarters then surely our ability to kick away in the last will be a huge bonus.

Hopefully Hardwick puts a huge emphasis in this weeks game.
We win this, we will be unstoppable.

And our lads obviously know how to stay up for the late night games!

I think it will affect our team/mindset less than most externals think it will. Neither player was in the first team and Dimma will keep a lid on media distractions in the hub.

According to the HUN we can finish:

1st if we beat Geelong and Adelaide AND Brisbane loses 2 games AND Power lose to Essendon and Collingwood.

2nd if we beat Geelong and Adelaide AND Brisbane loses 2 of it’s 3 AND Port beats Essendon or Collingwood.

3rd if we beat Geelong and Adelaide AND Brisbane beats 2 of GC, SYD and Carlton AND Port beats one of Essendon or Collingwood.

5th if we lose to Geelong but beat Adelaide AND Brisbane beats one of GC, SYD and Carlton AND WC beats st Kilda and North.

6th if we lose to Geelong and Adelaide AND st Kilda beat WC AND GWS AND WC beat North Melbourne.

Take any of the first four scenarios as I don’t think we can win it if we don’t get the double chance.

200 Covid cases in the Ipswich Hospital 30 minutes from the Gabba, west of brisbane.

This could be the AFL's biggest threat right now given the amount of interaction between the AFL hub and nearby hospitals. Victorians will know how quickly those kind of numbers can rise within a month, especially within the medical network.
