They give Collingwood more time to get all there players back.

No logical reason for this.
Stupid AFL fiddling.
Favours one side only..the oldest.
The short quarters are ordinary with no waxing and waning to give intrigue. Like a 20 20 cricket game. Will appeal to Americans and Chinese when said and done.
Simply not necessary in the finals or ever again.
Read somewhere that Hocking reckons the shorter games are popular as evidenced by the higher TV ratings and he would recommend it continues in 2021. Also indicated he has support from AFLPA. Geelong and Collingwood would probably back this too.

So we finish our March to the finals v Adelaide at 5.10pm on Saturday the 19th. Or is that start our march?

Is he serious? Obviously the TV ratings are higher with most of us unable to actually go to the footy (therefore TV is the only option) and Victoria being in lockdown!

In Adelaide, so we have to travel. There is a bye-week prior to finals so shouldn't be an issue... boys will probably enjoy the change of scenery for one week. Big chance to send Tex off for his last game with a loss too.

The suggestion that short quarters are responsible for higher TV ratings is an absolute furphy - but a sneaky one if there's any chance of it being used to prosecute a case for 2021.
Short quarters were introduced to protect players who might have to play games more frequently than usual (i.e. more than one per week)

Leave it as it is.
Some are calling to change it back to normal time plus time on for the finals.
Teams have trained for the way it is now.

Next year revert to how it was.

Who does Hocking canvass?

TV ratings? Coaches? Players? Fans?

Shocking hates us. Sends us to Shitesville for the final round whilst his beloved Pussies play 5mins from their hotel.

Balmey will be giving Shocking a fearful going over for this one in the hub. Expect some favours with the big man in town now.

Is there still a week off before the finals? If so, then i think the interstate game is a blessing. Means the players get out of the hub. The more thats written about the hub, the more its looking like a massive distraction & a bit toxic.

Getting out of QLD for a few days and spending some time in sleepy ol Adelaide is probably exactly what our squad needs after all the hub dramas

The only good thing about playing in Radalaide in the last round is that we may play the Power there in the first week of the finals.

Radalaide oval is a skinnier ground than all others except Kardinia park so a game there may help us get use to the dimensions if we play the Power there.
