Geelong ground is ridiculously skinny - no wonder they win so many games at home

I think we will struggle to finish 4th.
We got shafted by City Hall with the late bye.
Even if we win our last 2 matches we can still miss out on double chance.

Brisbane still has 4 games to go and they will win 3 of them maybe all 4 so we can't take their spot.
(we will need to support The Carringbush this Friday ...wait did I just say that?)
Even so they would need to lose another one v Suns, Syd or Blue baggers.

Wet Coke still has 3 games to go. Needs to lose to Dogs and Aints.

Can't catch Port. They have 3 left. 2 easy ones.

Which leaves the handbaggers.
They have 3 left with us the middle game.
(we will need to support Essen-Doom ... wait did I just say that?)

Just think we are at a distinct disadvantage with the late bye.

That early draw then the loss to Hawks has hurt us.
(Especially when you see how Hawks are playing now.)

I would love to know what we were doing during first lockdown because we didn't get going till 4th week back V Rabblebourne.
We were not ready for the restart.

Has anyone else crunched the permutations and sees it differently?

I think you need to check your maths.

If we win both our games we can’t not make top 4.

Yep if we win the 2 remaining games the worst we can finish is 4th. We do that and we end up with 50 points. Cats are on 40 points and have 3 games left. If they lose to us the best they can do is 48 points which is below us.

Dunno. Metricon is a little narrower and the wings are kinda straight like Geelong's. Gabba is about the same length but a little more circular and MCG-like.
Against any team other than Brisbane we should choose the Gabba. That's where the GF is and we haven't played there since R12.

Grand Final is at the mouldy old Gabba. Play every game there if you can, I reckon. :cupgold

Yep. Theres no way geelong could play a home final in adelaide. They dont even let them play a home final at geelong.

I think all finals except any involving Port will be metricon or gabba.

I think we play Metricon better than anybody and i reckon we play the gabba better than everybody

Gil has just said a final in Perth will be difficult, especially a Prelim. AO will host final/finals.

West Coast can only host a final in week 1 due to the enforced 14 day quarantine rules. even then it would be unfair for 2 teams to quarantine in Perth while the rest live and train without restrictions. I dare say even west coast would baulk at that.

Why should we fear Brisbane at the gabba? I reckon we should play all our games there.

my ladder predicter says
.port in port double chance if we beat geelong.
.st.kilda elimination if we lose

Between now (sat night) and our next game Friday night, st kilda and west coast both play two games. Weird times.

With Richmond being the Saturday game in the final round, it’s a given we get the Wednesday night 1st final.
