Majak Daw

Now that kids is a spray. ;D

You watch us take him at Pick 19 now.

I can see both sides but I tend to lean towards your recruiting manager mates side of things. 203 cm guys who can move like he can are very rare.

Haven't we had enough of these types that their athletic attributes far outweigh their footballing ability? Look I see the temptation, I am just over them types. Better ruck prospects around later on.

Hardly, it was just a cut and paste from the Gus thread.

:hihi

As I said, seen enough of these types at our club.

At least Gus was a rookie selection, this bloke is a danger for us at Pick 19.

I'm not sure that I sprayed Majak Daw at all (I'd be mortified and apologetic if I did) but he's obviously a work in progress and therefore should be a latish selection unless someone like the Dogs or Roos are just as interested in attracting some more media and public hype.

I'd have no problems using a late pick on him as he could turn into a good prospect.

Maybe not 19 but 35 I would pull the trigger. Doesn't matter what Gus is he needs to be upgraded.
Fitzpatrick reminds me of a young Kurt Tippet.

If I were Craig I'd mark 44 Gawn and 51 Daw.I'd be happy to get both but if Gawn is gone by 44 I'd take Daw, at that point.
He looks to have a big upside. He needs lots of development but hey he can run, jump and his kick is not too bad either.

Best thing is that he is tough.

Might come to be known as the black Jack.

Highlights are highlights but gee there seems to be a bit to work with here !

Just saw him speak on the Channel 7 news. Also saw some highlights training at North Melbourne.

Handball in traffic

Leap in the air. He got up so high in the air.

Kicking action isnt that bad.

Spinning out of trouble

Is he worth a rookie pick?. The upside would be great . African community, more memberships, and what he could offer as he can play a number of positions.

Did anyone see him and what do others think?

Definitely worth some serious thought

Agreed. He seems like the sort of player the rookie draft was invented for.

An Afro dizzy act :afro

Re: lets pick up majak daw

Daw would be exciting but I doubt he's even on our radar.

If we use the same kicking skills criteria for the PSD and Rookie drafts, Daw won't be on the radar

The rookie draft is surely for someone who ticks many boxes and then develop, so I'd back him in for an early rookie pick assuming no-one risks him in the PSD

Do it....... Do it.

he is big strong and athletic and could bash and crash but lacking both skills and footy smarts is a worry

He has been playing the game for such a short time. He is our obvious first choice in the rookie draft. He will be a mighty drawcard as well. So easy. :beer

Why did'nt we take him???....have a look at all the publicity he and North are getting, it's not like he car'nt play footy!.

IMO i think we missed a big oppertunity tapping into the Sudanese/African market in years to come.

Regardless of his marketing ability he seemed a good enough bet to grab on footy potential alone.

Suspect we may regret this one.

RFC can't win. Half the punters scream blue murder when we get some news in the media about what we're doing and how we're doing it. The other half want us to pick up players who don't fit our criteria just so we can get more publicity.
