Lynch !!

Hindsight is an interesting beast, if Tom had known he would be out injured for weeks, t‘would have been a good message to really clean up Keath “you seriously want to contest a mark against a power forward from front on…let me reappraise you of your thinking”. Going into a front on contest shouldn’t be brave, it is stupid. “Next time you are thinking of doing something so potentially harmful to yourself, think again you idiot!!”

I disagree with the premise that Lynch ‘chose’ to go head high.

What was he supposed to do at the end of a gallop preceding what was going to be a marking contest? Duck?

If he gets done because of the end result so be it, however framing his actions as deliberate is unfair.

Unless he was supposed to jump out of the way like a circus gimp.
They can’t call it deliberate, otherwise the charge should have been Intentional, not Careless.
But they make *smile* up as they go…

So a guy who turns to protect himself from an opposition player who doesn’t have his eyes on the ball is under threat of suspension, yet a guy (McKay) who makes wilful contact to an opposition player and strikes his head doing so, well that’s just a fine ?

You can’t be serious. What is happening to this game.

And as for Mince Whateley suggesting that Lynch shouldn’t have tried to protect himself (ie just wear it), well that stupidity just typifies again the hatred and bias some in the media hold for Richmond. Then again, I’m pretty sure he’s never played the game so I’ll cut him some slack for his stupidity.

Yeah….just let Keath cannon into you and wear the injury. Sure. Looked like Brereton wanted to say “WTF are you talking about ?” but knew where his bread was best buttered and thought better of it.
Spot On. Intent no longer matters, outcome driven. Madness.

Tovey bringing in the ARC defence.

Tovey (Richmond): The immediate impression of watching this in real time is that this was not unreasonable conduct. There's also a lack of remonstration by Bulldogs players who were around and there were plenty of them.

It's only Lynch's body language that represents what's going on.. #ARC

Love the use of the “response from teammates”….echoes the “Lynch clearly reacted like he had missed the goal”.

Everything I have managed to read in the sporting press indicates they want Lynch found guilty so it just makes the MRO's job easy and placate the sporting press by crucifying Lynch for being Lynch

The lack of remonstration from the dogs players is compelling IMO. Just a hard marking contest. Move along.

Brereton shouldve told Pinoccio to stand up and show him how he wouldbe done it.
Keath come front of the contest, he must've known contact was coming regardless where it hit him.
At best it shouldve been a free kick for lynch for a block.
If this was Big V as Keath and Naughton as Lynch.
It wouldn't even be mentioned. 100%.

Lynch gets done for simulation.
Lynch has been bullied the minute he decided he wanted to play for us. From the shitt storm in 2020 with Gold Coast and the Hurley incidents.
He has been mistreated.
He shouldve been AA last year too. Cockroaches

This should be a very quick dropping of the charges. If they take too long to deliberate, it'll be because they're on a conference call with Gil, the Scott brothers, Whately and Karen Kornes debating how big a penalty they can get away with.
