Lynch !!

God - u cant make this stuff up = surely the AFL bloke is out for blood. Totally misrepresnting the truth and making it look like a hanging offence. This bloke just keeps on spruking crap and where is the chance to dispute or dispute his garbage
Has Lynch got legal representation?

This is purely about what the jurors actually see in the footage. AFL says the video shows Lynch punched Hurley in the throat. Tigers say the video shows Lynch pushed Hurley in the upper chest. It's very much up for debate.

Sorry...I am missing something. There is no punch. There is barely minimal throat contact. What is up for debate exactly??

Unbelievable, the are trying to justify the BS . What of Hurley charging into Lynch???
if he didnt brace himself or push over he wouldve been ball oved
I'm watching the thumb up/down reaction on FOX Footy website, and the thumbs up for the "Tigers final testimony" and number got up to about 70 before anything was even reported :D

You might conclude there's point in that exchange Tom Lynch became frustrated with the attention he was getting and threw a punch ... you might conclude he was sending a message to Hurley.

AFL: "If you're gonna push, you push at the largest available surface. And the largest available surface is not his neck, it's his chest. Either Mr Lynch missed by a wide margin ... either he's a terrible aim or he landed about where he wanted to."

You cant make this *smile* up!
Is this legit or just made up? I struggle to believe this could actually be said.

AFL also points to the potential to cause injury with head-high strikes. "The guidelines tell you you must ... give this strong consideration." Says players can't guarantee blows will land where they're intended.

Yeah because if you elbow someone in the head it only costs you $500....
Tom Hawkins will be laughing his head off

Tigers defence is pretty much - watch the video. AFL went for the throat and want Lynch hung. U would think he landed a round house to the back of Hurley's head and knocked him out the way they presented their case

Don't know what Jeff Gleeson actually think he see in the footage, but it certainly ain't seein' what he is, biased or otherwise. How could it be taken as anything but a which hunt

AFL: "As to (low) impact ... the image shows Hurley throw his head back and immediately clutch for his throat. It has to be acknowledged he quickly looks for whether the umpire has seen this ... the immediate response was genuine and spontaneous. And if there was no contact to his throat at all, as Mr Lynch suggests, it was a somewhat miraculous piece of quick thinking to clutch at the very area it sure looked like contact was made to. He had to, in a millisecond, this would look to somebody as if this was a blow to his throat ... that is, you might think, rather unlikely."

On this basis how do blokes get done for staging?

On the basis of this alone - staging cannot be sanctionable because in the AFL's own words it's not possible to think so quickly.
