Lynch !!

Surprised someone like you would fall for the narrative antman.

what narrative? Clear on video, Tom trying to get Collins to flinch with fake tough guy antics is being a *smile*, whether its Joe Blow down the pub, Tom Lynch or Tom Hawkins. I make up my own mind.

As mentioned before, you blokes spend way too much time worrying about what the media says or doesn't say in a given week. It's mostly clickbait, don't fall for it.

Others being dicks is equally as bad. I prefer the Dylan Grimes type, nice guy, never seen him fake punch anyone, but he'll run through whoever gets in between him and the ball. Now that's a tough player.
Grimes is a stager of the first order but doesn't mean we don't love him and defend him to the hilt. I find you and Big Richo trying to take the moral high ground akin to the preaching of Damian Barett or the retweet love fest between the right wing commentators on twitter such as Panihi.

You are a bastion of balanced, sensible opinion on here Antman and I for one, appreciate it.
I think you have an unrealistic view. Push and shoves and forceful hits with forearms, shoulders etc happen in all games between multiple players. The emphasis on Lynch is over the top. Surely you can recognise that?

Players that initiate the contact are usually - backman/taggers - trying to get under an opponents skin and put them off their game. The forwards end up getting sick of it and responding, or react like dusty when opposed to de bore. Expecting them to just meekly absorb the push/shove/striking is absurd. Lynch is a big man, a big name playing for a big club, it's very easy for the media to focus on him because it rates.

Whilst I would love all players to shake hands and help each up and console each other during games (other than grubs like Cameron/Finlayson/Miers/Zorko/McCrae/Lonie) I understand that can not happen. The game is competitive and physically confrontational, in the heat of the moment players are going to do everything to get an edge.

I just hope such bastions of fair play as yourself and ant call out all tiger transgressions and other clubs transgressions in the coming games - we can scrutinise poor behaviour to see if it passes The Big Ant test.

All this stuff about backman niggling forwards is just nonsense.

Every forward and midfielder in the competition deals with the same. There's a massive difference between the way a Charlie Dixon handles it compared to what Lynch has been doing.

As for Robinson he's a complete and utter moron. The point most people seem to be missing though is that he is to off the field what Lynch is being on the field.
Robinson is a hypocrite of the highest order in my book. His whole public persona is based on the tough guy, threatening people when your not even on the ground, and calling a player to come off the bench and have a go at him looks worse. Don't forget Mitch who was the first to console you in last years finals series, when you did your hammy was a Richmond player.

Lynch takes a nice contested mark
watch what collins does to him...it is not that its that bad but it shows the guy's mindset.
Lynch beat him fair and square and collins is filthy. He has obviously set himself for the game against the Premiers and is filthy that Lynch has taken this mark.
Looking at his carry on in the rooms after the game, does anyone else think he's a bit of a nutjob? Punching poles, separated from the team...Dew talking him off a ledge...

As someone else said ...is it Sam Collins first game of footy or something? The carry on has been extraordinary

You saved me from saying the same. We haven't always seen eye to eye in the past, bet endorse your comments here. Well put.

I am still really puzzled by the double standards of the coverage. Apparently Lynch beat up a poor little Auskicker who wandered onto the field for the wrong game? Never threw any punches or forearms except at a column post-game?

I havnt heard

'he reckons he's that good'

since year 9 :rotfl2

I respect the impartial tigers on here's viewpoint, all 3 of 'em

but I'd vote for Donald Trump if he played CHB for the tigers

I'll say it again, i care less about push and shove and even tummy taps and more about just acting like a *smile*. The head push against the Brions and flinching/lynching stuff for example. The kids can push and shove and bump all they like. I just dislike the whole taunting/posturing stuff. Sue me.

yeah nah I won't be doing that.

I think that is the first time I have ever loved anything Campbell Brown has ever said or done. Just love it.
In other words, "Mitch you absolute dumb tool!"

The only bloke i feel sorry for is Harris Andrews.

The media are hypocrite's,
Collins is this weeks hero, for having a 5 year old tantrum after the game.
But when Goddard walked into the rooms and slapped a plate of lollies off the table. He is showing no leadership, its very juvenile and its something a 200 gamer should be doing.

So double standards or any word from the AFL or maybe the ALFPA on Robinson’s antics.
No.
Has escaped sanction.
Surprise. Surprise.

when he goes for the ball, yes. Still more respect for the strong and silent types like Dylan.

And don't call me shirley
He goes for the ball at each and every contest. I have never seen him shirk a contest. We are quick to forget Lynch held up the forward line for almost the entire season last year off no preseason. Up against multiple defenders at a time and destroyed Geelong in the prelim final.
Clipping a few blokes here and there should not cast a shadow of the toughness he shows on the footy field. Nor tarnish his character.

Ah yeah Charlie Manson-Dixon attempted a knee drop on Rance's head that would've killed him. In a practice match no less.

Robinson’s comments set Brisbane up beautifully for another finals failure.

Hopefully we can deliver it personally.
Yep. Would Iove nothing more than sending them on their way again. Talk about fake tough guys. Brisbane have them in spades.
