Personally, I agree.
A list is more than the 22 named on your best day; most teams play a squad of around 35 over the course of a season.
If you are beginning your window, it is important that your next 10 best players after your first 22 are AFL capable; and that there aren't any positional holes, if a key player is injured.
McGuane has shown a bit at CHF in the second half of this season. He has steadily improved.
If he is traded for a better player and our positional depth at CHF is improved, I'm all for it.
If his trading creates a positional hole, to me, that is a problem.
Same is to be said for the question of Post.
Post is young and improving.
If he is traded and consequently our overall positional depth is improved, I'm all for it.
If his trading leads to a positional hole, that too is a problem.
