Re: Luke McGun

the free against Luke for sheparding the Martin goal was absurd... really pathetic umpiring

Re: Luke McGun

Muscles had a shocking game in front of goal last week. He owed us. And today he delivered. The snap was genius and made up for his one substandard shot. That centring kick from the dead pocket was a highlight and finally got us setting right from that area of the ground.

McGun is a vibrant target.

Re: Luke McGun

Doing his job very well atm, hopefully he can take this form into the next three weeks.

Re: Luke McGun

Just rapt to see McGuane re-invent himself in the forward line. He's as hard as nails and seems to be a popular bloke in the team. And he's providing far more than novelty value. Geez he hits a contest hard.

Re: Luke McGun

The feel good story of the year so far ,

There could even be a movie !!!

We dont want to lose McGun to Hollywood god knows we need him at the RFC

Re: Luke McGun

He's just as dangerous as Jack in many ways. Not so much in terms of goals, but the contest he provides, coupled with his speed off the mark and his leap, he's a great asset to our forward line. I think I said this last week but he's a very awkward player, but that works in his favour just as much as it works against him.

Re: Luke McGun

what a transformation.....absolute spud of a defender to a genuine plus for us as a forward...hits the contest hard, chases, tackles can take the odd grab...exactly whats needed for the 3rd target up forward

Re: Luke McGun

He still gives away stupid free kicks and 50m penalties that will cost us in a big game but do agree he has played very well so far this year.

Don't worry. Matt Damon will play him.
Sort of a 'Good will Hunting' story.

Re: Luke McGun

Just so happy for Luke that he's hit his straps. Never thought he was fully deserving of the 'spud' label. He's such a hard worker and a top bloke to boot. Onya Lukey!! What a legend.

Re: Luke McGun

certainly one of my favourite tigers now

opposition must be having headaches trying to find match ups for vickery, jack AND luke....

I forgot about that. That's why Muscles got so dirty on the Footscray world. Fair enough too.

Re: Luke McGun

Best way to explain our key forwards.

Riedwolt= the Mercedes. A nice vehicle does everything well. Can let you down but a favourite.

Vickery= family station wagon. Can't do what a lot of other cars can in terms of lookks and performance but is there and serves a key purpose.

Mcguane= the 1994 corolla you bought your kid to learn in. Keeps going no matter what it hits. Is keen to impress and may miss the target occasionally but you thank god they didn't write off the merc.

His defensive pressure is elite for a tall forward, evenif he wasn't kicking goals he would be keeping his spot.

However umpires hate him, hate, that free kick for sheparding on the goal line doesn't get paid 99 times out of 100.

One word Kurtzy - Bemusing
