Little things that annoy you....

When people serving you at a food joint say ' will you be having a drink/ chips/ sugar/ whatever with that today?' Why the today? I'm buying it today aren't I? Do they think I might want to put sugar in my flat white I'm buying now tommorrow?, or yesterday?

Absolute dogs of people who dont stop after causing an accident. Just witnessed one up from my place. Car A waiting to turn right at lights and the light turns red and he proceeds to turn right only to be clipped by a car B running the red and then continues going up the road without stopping. Unfortunately it happened so quick and i thought Car B was going to stop so didnt get the rego. Then the dog accelerated off whilst the guy in Car A limps over to the side of the road with no hope of even chasing him.

Went down to get things i needed from an IGA and come back to see the Car A guy walking back down the road totally bewildered asking anyone at a tram stop if they had seen the accident. I called him over and gave my details. Poor bugger, turned out he was borowing his mates car as his had been stolen the week before.

Unwrapping the kilo of $1.99 chicken wings I bought yesterday to find I'd been charged for $11.99 chicken breast instead. Gee supermarkets could make big profits if they try and get away with that all the time.

I hate posters altering the names of people they aren't happy with. I think I did it once in a moment of extreme anger and called Kane Pettifer Kane Pittiful, which I'm not proud of, but it annoys the crap out of me. Criticism is fine, but mindless cheap shots are obnoxious.

The words mediocre/mediocrity... Haven't these been taken and ran with by richmond supporters... Just a buzz word that is brought up time and time again with no real relevance.

I see what you did there. And I agree too. In fact, there should be an ironic award given to the biggest play-on-a-player's-name fail. And there are some spectacular fails on here. I mean, what is 'Vickerdud'? That's not anything. That's just removing the last letter of a player's name and putting a derogatory word on there. A friend of mine used to love calling Richo 'Glitcho' in my presence. It wasn't very nice, but I have to admit that it did work. It's an actual play on a word.

with all the incorrect use of the term 'there' with the younger generation these days, i had a good laugh recently when i saw someone on this facebook group i follow try to do the right thing at the wrong time by using 'their' in the wrong context.

Bacteria, for example, doubles every set amount of time. The bigger it gets, the faster it grows, so it grows exponentially.

A teenager can grow dramatically. They might double in size from 10 to 20 years of age, but they don't double again the next ten years or the ten years after that. They grow dramatically but not exponentially.

Apologies if I misunderstood the head scratch.

Fibrosarcoma...similar. Very aggressive towards the end. My poor doggy looks well but the surgeon only gives her a few weeks.. :'( :'(

Spin.

I'm no expert, but always hearing statements such as: 'only has a few weeks or months to live' annoy me. There's been many stories where people have lived for decades after being told that. If the person/animal looks and feels healthy, let it live until it dies naturally.

IMO, chemotherapy triggers the cancer more than cures it.

I hope with all my heart it is spin TF but, as marty alluded to with bacteria, the nature of the beast is that it increases rapidly in the latter stages. Typically very aggressive. Chemo, radio or surgery aren't options unfortunately. In fact I don't think it is spin. It's a prognosis based on experience but people and animals react differently so there's no set formula.
