List Management 2023

They have Van Rooyen, Jefferson, McDonald & Fritsch, could maybe do with an upgrade on Schache but he's really only there as bare bones back-up.
My garden gnome is an upgrade on Schache! And he hasn't moved for about 4 years..

This can probably be confirmed by others on the boards - but apparently Kosi was keen to work with Yze again.

They crossed paths in 2019 at Hawks?

That had crossed my mind and I looked it up. Yze was at the Hawks in 2019 and 2020 so would have worked with him there. In saying that, Kozi didnt play any senior games in those years.

A fellow Tigers supporter I work with who lives out east (Mont Albert) reckons he has some intel. He said the decision of Kosi's request has come because of the position of the coach being Yze and not Mini. He could be big noting himself, but it seems plausible.

I agree too General. Yze's the coach for sure.

Yeah, right on the money that fella...

Yze says to Benny...
"Ya know how you haven't made the official announcement of my appointment yet..... well I made a promise to Jacob Koschitzke from the Hawks he'd be the first to know so he can request a trade.... You're ok with me giving him good news then?
Benny to Yze...
"Of course mate, just ask him to keep it to himself."

There were rumours we were into Kozi in early 2022, not sure Yze has anything to do with it.

My Hawks mate is disappointed to lose Kosi. Reckons coming along nicely and ready to bloom. Good for 30 plus goals (can be iffy shooting for goal), applies good pressure, good speed and more than handy back up ruck. Maybe trade for Millar?

I dont really get it.
The players had contracts which included clauses that extended the contract if certain conditions were met. So if they've played x amount of games in 2023 then the contract extends to 2024.
What does the new coach do? Cut the players and pay out their contracts? Kinda cutting the old nose from the old face.
And not good for harmony and club trust.
Or send them to the reserves?
We played plenty of kids this year. Its a balance because too young a side can cause the team to flounder.

I'd expect the new coach to treat every player on merits and judge on performance and professionalism. Not gifting games to juniors or seniors.
Our new coach will have different (I hope) and new ideas on players and game plan and a few of those who have triggered a contract extension may not be in his plans so they may end up being traded of consigned to the VFL until contract end. As I said he has to be ruthless but fair if he is going to take our club forward. It is not only the players that need a serious looking at but some of our assistants leave much to be desired based on the last two seasons

Prestia is important enough for one of these-

Just in time for Xmas.

(Taranto will have to improve his disposal.)

I've got my own set from the very same shop. Good to see they've updated the names.

I ended up not getting them but I saw them in Prague a few years back, quite funny really. Of course, wherever you go you always see Australians.

I saw a guy with a Collingwood hat the other day, but today I saw a guy with a Richmond polo shirt and cap in Venice. I said Go Tiges but it was crowded and he didn't hear me.
