I know I'm in the minority but I would be happy for him not to play this year. He will be completely outmatched in strength against the Tim Mohr type that he will play on and he's going to have to play in a way that he shouldn't later in his career i.e avoiding physical contact.

Having said that I will still be excited if he plays, but the bloke I really want to see play is McDonough.

Agree - don't risk him and his current physique against the monsters just yet. He's an exciting prospect though.

If he is ready play him.
Why wait until next year.

Is he ready? That is the question.

Yes, his offence his ready. His defence is not - due primarily to fitness, and maybe attitude.

He is not a physical player at the moment so if you are after contests you won't get that. However I think his body would stand up to the physical pressure of AFL - he has speed and evasiveness which means he won't get crunched or heavily tackled (think Robbie Flower)

I have not had the pleasure of watching coburg play this year, so i cant comment, but alot of folk are raving on about this kid.
if true then taking floss at 9 and mcbean later on is master stroke by francis jackson, as I remember many including me, gunning for Grundy at 9!

I tell you what, it's hard not to get excited by this kid. Looking at his highlights on the RFC website some of the stuff he is doing is mesmerizing for a bloke his size. He kicked a left footed snap from the boundary and his kicking technique is amazing. More size on him and a bit of age, geez he looks good. His kicking action is superb.

We need a classy, skillful small crumbing forward.

We may have found a 203cm version.

McBean and Jack in the same forward line. Potent as. Definitely need a crumbing forward though. Wouldn't mind Sylvia at all to be honest. Would fit right in at half forward.

Looks like good selection and development work on a tall potential KPF. Sounds like he still needs to have more development on his defensive work, despite him playing down back for at least some of his career before coming to the Tiges.

heard he hasn't laid a tackle all year.

surely not true

No surprise. Whenever the ball is within 50m of him he ends up with it. Can't tackle someone when you've got the ball.
