Only at Richmond does a bloke dominate in the ressies for so long only to be overlooked. Once his form drops off in the ressies they decide to push him up to the level of AFL and funnily enough he fails. When Mcbean was kicking 4-5 goals a week for an extended period i would have thought that would have been the best time to promote. You know, when a players confidence is at its peak. ::)

Maybe he was never going to make it but i think the way he was handled and developed had more to do with it. At Richmond you need to be an elite talent to actually go on and make it proper. Don't expect any help along the way.

Apparently Vickery was the future then, every good game earned him another 10 guaranteed, so McBean couldn't get a look in.

Seems a bit strange we quickly and only delisted Beano and Marcon. Looks like it was something to do with Beano's attitude with the coach(es) then. Why so long with other delistings?

Ahhh....of course. Vickery. The old rules for some and rules for others.

If he is the better out of TV and himself than surely hawthorn will just pick hi up on the cheap. Unless their footy department is as clueless as ours .

Not really. If a player has had interest in a club we hold onto them to trade or help them get across. If there is no interest then we delist early giving them a chance to go find another home if thats what they want

Can't see McBean being selected in the ND by any other AFL club.
Might get a look-in as a possible rookie listing.
Reckon some VFL team will offer him a lifeline.

They certainly didn't appear to need any think music. Obviously some issues we're not aware of.

Two delistings, guess the club figured they had reason not to waste further time n energy on these two, perhaps nothing in preliminary trade discussions. Vickery, Lennon, Conca, apparently are looking at being traded or as senior players have some trade currency, club would be looking to assist them to move where they want to go, for a return of course.
That's five for starters, there's also still a few players with trade value who haven't been re contracted so there could still be further delistings if new homes can't be found for them.

He was delisted prior to Balme's appointment so it will be interesting to see if Balme overturns that decision. Big men take more time to mature than the smaller more athletic lot so were Dimma & Co to hasty in delisting the Mac Bean.

Has been delisted can't be "relisted" has to be redrafted

Redrafted means he goes into the draft and we compete for him against everyone else.

Relisted means we'd just put him back on, no competition.

You are splitting hairs like a petulant 16 year old sheila.

Well Tigaman, if you can't tell the difference, your level of comprehension is zero.

Just so you can comprehend.

Once a player has been delisted from a club, the only way he can be placed back on the same clubs list is to be REDRAFTED. He cannot just be relisted.

If that doesn't help you then forget it, you will never understand

Delisted players can actually be picked up as DFA, so I guess we could convince him to return (wont happen, just saying).

Not saying it will happen but he can stay because he is still contracted until October 31. All that has happened is that he has been told he won't be offered another contract
