Liam McBean

There goes one of the finest rumps to grace the field.

I hate to see you go, Beanie, but I love to watch you leave.

What a shame. Based on his VFL performances, he certainly wasnt given enough senior chances.

That's what bothers me the most.

We recruit a promising youngster. He performs consistently in the reserves, and then gets delisted.
This sums it up for me. I'm more disappointed that he wasnt given the chances others have been gifted, even despite putting up strong performances at VFL level.

Whether he is good enough or not, I dont know, as he wasnt given the opportunity to develop at AFL level.

Contracts aside, as we know they're not the RFC's strong point, I wonder what they see in Elton, that they don't see in McBean?

He leaves knowing that his last game delivered us 9th on the ladder (VFL).
As if it could be any worse for him right now, he has to deal with getting the arse ( :hihi) from ninthmond

Must be tough for him seeing his AFL career end early, from the club he supported as a kid. Good luck Liam.

The problem is there wasn't even promise at senior level. No chance of powering his way in contests (how could it be a professional footballer can't add more bulk than that in 3 years?), and his ground level ability required the kind of time you don't get in the seniors. He could have had more chances, for sure, but I can't say I am panicked by the threat of his future performances elsewhere.

He's taken a contested mark?

Was really surprised we cut him esp with TV going . And we giving 2 year contracts to average players . Strange days at Tigerland .
Maybe you should apply for a job in recruiting and list management. Seems a pretty easy job judging by the comments on here.

It seems a pretty easy job going on past performance in their selections. Easy money as well.

It doesn't seem that hard to the majority of AFL clubs.
