He was as good as his mate Daniher when they were 18. Now he's delisted while Daniher is on the cusp of breaking out.

Richmond Football Club: where promising young talls go to die.

This about sums it up for me. The club's inability to either develop talent from within or in 5 years since it was admitted to make any tangible changes to address this is a real black mark.

I feel sorry for Liam to be built up so much. His senior performances when we all got to see him in action never quite matched the hype. We obviously don't know the full story. I wish him well.
Shut this post down please Rosy.
I will enjoy watching him play in a crack enduced haze at moe reserves next year

Given Daniher was a potential number one pick and McBean a second rounder I think it's a stretch to male the comparison. I'm aware that his school coach said something along those lines but they always do. I never saw McBean take a pack mark at junior level, admittedly all the footage was from the state carnival but in those games he appeared to be floating around as a loose checking defender. The weight and strength was always the issue, this is why I wasn't overly enthused about the selection in the first place. Leysy had a mancrush on his rump but I suspect this was lust playing tricks on his eyes. The shoulders even today look meek and unworthy of a true key position player - in general play the reality matched the appearance. Good luck to Liam, I hope everything works out and if a club does pick him up then they should book the entire back catalogue of Gunston's rise to fame.

Another failed 2nd rounder.
Our talls are sh!tful
And we have to put up with Elton for another year. Anyone see the footage of Cotchin absolutely giving it to Elton after a truly feeble contested effort against Sydney, actually clipped him one and verballed him in disgust. (And yes i know he was not on his own in that regards)

I would have liked to see how he went under a decent coach. Good luck Liam wherever you go. I hope you succeed. Could Richmond be planning to re-rookie him?

all the talent in the world, bags and bags of VFL goals.

vickery probably gone. no support for jack.

i just don't understand what's going on down there.

Waddya doing here, Carts? You should be up and about with Lambchops shelving analgesic narcotics and lamenting in as yet undiscovered languages. (Ackshelly hallucinogenics might be better for the undiscovered language thing. No wait. Ice.)

You've fought your fight and lost. This is the poet's moment.

Yep. Why couldn't we give him 1 year or at least rookie?

Maybe it's been attitude problems in not beefing up enough and/or Dimma plainly doesn't like him.

He's definitely been Plapped by some supporters.

Bugger. He'll get picked up in one of the drafts.

Will he make it, not sure, but he'll get a chance.

Prediction - Hawthorn rookie.

Hawks wouldn't make the same mistake 3 times in a row would they ?

Pattison & Peterson failed at the hawks as well

if he makes or may not make it. So what, had plenty of chances.

We are so dear to our players, we want to hang onto them for another year, hope or anticipate they will become better. That's our problem for the past 20 years,be ruthless now and saviour the moment later. Opportunity to get better players.

Sure could be hit or miss, but hanging onto the C- players will never get you to the top.

What a shame. Based on his VFL performances, he certainly wasnt given enough senior chances.

That's what bothers me the most.

We recruit a promising youngster. He performs consistently in the reserves, and then gets delisted.
